Pauter recommends 50 ft/lbs using motor oil for lube...10 ft/lb increments side-to-side.
FYI, these are ARP 2000 rod bolts. Measuring rod bolt stretch is much more accurate...for these bolts it's 0.0060" to 0.0065"
If you know you have code 52 (that needs to be fixed), you "pulled" ECU codes when you jumped the diagnostic terminal.
Fix (replace) both cracked hoses and see what happens ;)
BTW - "limp mode" is actually a poor name for two different things - fail safe mode or back-up mode...I wish...
89supraa - the bottom line on this subject is twofold:
1) To get rid of anything on the motor you really, really need to know what it's purpose is and that is not always obvious (the EGR is a perfect example). "Clean up the engine bay" crusades is a sure fire way to make the car run like...
Post a pic of the Blitz...I don't think you can recirculate the Blitz BOVs though.
FYI I run a HKS SSQV that vents to the atmosphere. The only time the engine stalls is going up an incline and let the gas full off.
Be careful with that stuff...wear rubber gloves handling it and don't get it on ya ;)
I just took the Tstat housing off and flushed from there with the lower radiator hose disconnected. Flushed the radiator separately and hooked the hoses back up...left the Tstat out for now, but put the...
Gaboon is correct...the FP needs positive pressure (~2 psi) in the tank to prevent cavitation. The check valve that makes that happen is in the charcoal canister...removing it is a bad idea. It's simple to get a JDM canister and install in the wheel well out of sight.
The BVSV is not...
More important is how does the head cam saddles look? If it's bad, a line bore is required to fix it.
Before going to that expense (or any other on a head), get it hardness tested.
Donaldson makes a filter that is comparable, but I do not know of a reliable source...pretty sure Donaldson makes the EaO for Amsoil. The CM is an alternative, but has a pretty steep initial cost:

These filters do not have a bypass...they filter all...
Terminology wise for the bearings, I have to disagree...look here:
http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?S=EM&P=72
Toyota in fact does use standard size bearings...the last paragraph refers to the numbering system (0-5) used for bearings in the standard range. The...
jza80 - The Amsoil EaO filter can easily. Probably the best at filtration as well...hold on to your wallet ;)
With a longer OIC, there's a very good chance your wear metals will actually drop.
Dumbo - Plus, your silicon level was over 3 times what jza80 had...that points straight at a...
When I did the initial flush, I used tap water...including the oxalic acid flush. After the neutralization, I used 2-3 gal of distilled water. The 50/50 coolant was also with distilled water.
