You need to cover the hole up. Probably another reason you were smelling the gases so bad, also the "bolt on" test pipe could be leaking a little around the gaskets. Not good for the brain cells:3d_frown:

What octane fuel are you using? And like mentioned, check your timing. Sometimes changing fuel brands will cause a little knocking especially a off brand.
I ran mine open header for about 5 min. It did sound wicked though.

Could if the TB was cracked, or there was a problem with the CSI, as that is the only lines that go to any intake related things. The line that goes from the CSI and returns back to the block under the intake manifold has a small copper ring on the intake gasket that might if leaking suck in...
