It wasn't the starter to begin with, it was simply the alarm system I have on the car shutting off the ignition. Well I know I won't need to replace the starter anytime soon ;)

As far as the "Misfire" problems they were fixed with a set of NGK plugs.

Now I've got a crapload of smoke and a coolant problem to fix

But no more knock?

Was the "knock" just the stutter of the spark plugs not firing or being coated in oil?

A knocking motor is much different from a few cylinders simply not firing due to bad plugs.

I'm more than a little confused with your ongoing predicament.

Yeah that makes two of us. If you still have the knock try to narrow it down by pulling one spark plug wire at a time.

The misfire will come back. Until you get the smoke and coolant issue fixed new plugs are a waste. Of course then there is the knock issue you claimed to have.....

Coolant problem - Fixed with the red Dexcool approved coolant and a new thermostat

Smoke - When I changed the plugs oil from my valley dripped into the combustion chamber and it all burned out, the smoke has went down GREATLY

Oil in valley - Fixed by new valve cover gaskets and screws (I was missing 4)

Waterfall - Before I replaced the coolant I burped the system and I can't tell I have the waterfall anymore

Knocking - I changed the oil, replaced the coolant, fixed a vac leak, installed a new TPS and re-calibrated it and it seems to have went away, I still have a ticking noise but I'm assuming it's the exhaust leak I have at the Y-pipe (I can feel exhaust coming from the y-pipe where it connects to the headers.

I would like to note that the car was only driven once with the problems it was having, and that's when I heard the knocking.

Also car was reading 4 different codes, I pulled the EFI fuse, now it's only reading the 2 knock sensor codes, which is because my knock sensor wire is cut :/

I will fix this later, it has been running good since I got it and I assume it will be fine until I can get around to it.

Thanks guys for the information, I wouldn't have got my car running right without you guys!
