In my case adding a cooler and pump to the G series would have fixed the issue as well but I always wanted an IRS 9" :) (it has the cooler and pump)

Yep then when I killed the bearing swapped the Clutch diff back in and killed it too ;) Then went 9".

Higher force required to make the shift increased chance of a missed shift or a bent shift fork.

Ran mine hard at 550+ rwhp both manual and auto and the only failure I had was a starved pinion bearing from high speed runs (an LSD suffered the exact same failure) ;)

Nah there's nothing "special" inside just gears and bearings.

Just about any gear oil is fine.
