    Pros: Active meaning in stop start traffic or high boost low forward speed situations it doesn't heat soak like an A2A Cons: Weight and complexity, and for higher power the Hardware gets very big/hard to fit in a Mk3.

    Vast majority of filters work this way these days. It's usually the simple things that trip people up, have seen quite a few engines ruined by this issue over the years.. :(

    Yep that's exactly what I'm saying ;) Filter can only flow one way it's to prevent it draining out and starving the engine on a restart, also doubles as a bypass for when the filter is blocked.

    "Select fit bearings" It's a standard Toyota thing, they've been doing it forever to allow for +- tolerences from their machine shop. There is usually a chart that tells you xx Crankpin size and yy Main tunnel or Rod size will = zz Bearing Shell.
