New to the 7MGTE + Intro

Glad you found a leak, not that you have a leaky intercooler system but so that you know what you have to fix now. It makes things so much easier.

    Opinion on fuel gauge appreciated

Mine does something similar except likes to float around wherever it wants. I can fill it up and the gauge will go to full but when I start driving it around it'll just float around.

I hope everyone keeps thinking 7m's are such horrible engines so there's more for me :D

7m to 2j mani... Why not?

I'm trying to convince my father (Who owns a machine shop) to buy a 5th axis cnc vert mill. We've already got a 4th axis, just have to finish wiring it up. We were actually playing with the idea of making the stock TB but bigger. Also making titanium turbine wheels instead of the steel ones as...

    ISCV questions.

Nope, no codes. I've checked the ISCV per the resistance test and it's 21 and 22 ohms across all of them. I've checked all the wires from the ecu to the iscv and they're good. Manually stepped the motor from one side to the other, neither way is 'fully' closed. The rubber grommet is in there...

    my first build thread

I was going to say someone swapped your rear/front end to make it look like an 86-88 lol It'll be a long time before you drive the car again.

    "safe" numbers for 7M-GTE internals

My comment wasn't made to be 7m bias because I have both engines.

Isn't there some way that you can read the light pulses with a multimeter?

    "safe" numbers for 7M-GTE internals

Do you know of a shop around the central VA area? I can't find a tuner near me. Scott Hennessey is in richmond but each time I call, nothing. Several other shops around here only touch shit with vtec, ugh.

    ForcedTorque's Slick/Quick Build

Try pinching the ISCV hose and see if it tries to idle down/stall. Your ISCV might not be moving. This also might be silly but do you have any CEL's? http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?S=FI&P=18

    new to the supra worl

Here, incase you didn't have this it'll GREATLY help you with your BHG replacement. http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/ Also, look into driftmotion.com for your headgasket and arp studs. Not saying you can't get them anywhere else but if you call Aaron he'll be very helpful...

    ForcedTorque's Slick/Quick Build

Let me know if it fixes your problem. Only so many things can cause a high idle.

Cutting out if I ease off the gas UPDATED, PLEASE HELP

I suggested this in your build thread, setting the ignition timing brought my idle down quite a bit. The fuel cut rpm is 1600-1200 according to the TSRM. It's 1800-1200 on a 7mge.

    ForcedTorque's Slick/Quick Build

Ignition timing can affect an idle. Mine was around 1600 until I set the timing per the CPS.

    "safe" numbers for 7M-GTE internals

I have a non-altered 1jzgte engine+harness+ecu and other goodies in a the jz FS section for 2k. (This is not advertising) I've been seeing them for around 2500 but no clue if the harnesses have been chopped or anything.
