Well i think one reason that people didn't have a lot of shock travel was because they were using the mk3 top hats/strut mounts which are designed different. Shallower pillow ball mounts or different top hats might work. I am currently looking into seeing what might work.
I think everything else would be easy(ish) with the exception of the top hats. I guess you could by them from cusco or tien but you will pay out the arse for it. Not sure what an "economical" option would be.
Jordan, this sucks on so many levels its not funny. However, when it is all said and done you will be happy that you stuck with it. Well that or doing crack. Your thread is an inspiration for a lot of reasons but mostly for the steadfast determination. Keep it up.
You can check out this thread http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?134839-I-m-starting-a-thread-for-my-interior-revamp there is a good write up on Ardvark (i believe) carpet. Price doesn't seem bad either.
Thanks for the write up/video and keep the info coming. Like Dan Ive been sitting on a full set for about a year. However, i may buy the black set as i hear that they have something in them to help reduce noise.
Thanks Brad thats what i thought. Now its just time to pull the trigger on a good set so i can swap it and finally reinstall my interior. Im gonna search but if i don't find anything keep your eyes out for a what to remove when deleting TEMS thread soon.
Well it wasnt all today but i worked on the interior. I stripped out the front and rear seats along with all of the paneling. Stripped seats, cleaned off surface rust where present and painted with Rustoleoum (black), made new listing straps, recovered seats, rear panel pieces, and door card.
Shouldn't be too hard to find at a junkyard as it isn't something that most people are looking for. Just an FYI the bolt cover slides over the slide and then clips on so if you can try to do it before you bolt the seats back in or you will have to pull them out again to put them on.
Thanks ryan yea either i am going to go with the blistien's with tanabe springs or with stance or HSD coilovers. I am just not sure what the minimum drop is on the coilovers atm. My goal now is to do all of the subframe and control bushings at the same time and then do the sway bars in the...
Thanks for the replies guys. I already drag my exhaust backing out of the driveway and got so sick of dragging my lip that i removed it. However, this could be because the springs/shocks are old. I wonder how much that would go away with new springs/shocks even if it is a little lower.
Hey everyone i have a quick question. What is the stock MK 3 ride height to the top of the wheel arches? I am thinking about doing my suspension this winter and want to know so i can buy drop spring/shocks or coilovers accordingly. I believe that my car has stock TEMS suspension but it seems...
Turbo sorry i havent posted on here yet. Congrats on all of the work! It's great that there are so many people in the AZ supra community. Looking at the parts you just posted that looks like the tanabe touring medallion exhaust i see. If so they are great.
Atlas, is that the Grant 761 wheel with a TRD horn button? If so did you use the Grant installation kit or did you buy a hub? If its not where did you find the wheel? As others have stated that looks damn good and if it is the grant it is like 3 times cheaper then the Personnal one i was...
The CC may look a bit smaller than it actually is, as it is not circular like the US or motorcycle one. Instead it is more of a rectangle and the picture shows the thin side, i believe that the portion you cant see is about twice as wide as what you can see but this is the only pic i have of...
