Yes I am talking of the cap. I'll post a pic in a second. I cannot get to the paint or repaint the area under the cap (area still orange in pic). I can remove the cap and glue it back on or paint the top black to match the cap.
Glad to see continued progress. Mine stalled out for awhile damn NE winters without a heated garage. The nracket you fabbed up came out nice and looks stock but smaller
= win.
Wow just read it all. Your honesty about everything was refreshing. You have showed me how much of a slacker I am. Time to dust off my supra and start workimg on her again.
Sounds easy enough but the needle on my spare boost gauge does not want to pull off. I tried using a fork as I read that it was suppose to work well. Maybe I just have my kid gloves on for fear of breaking it.
I am debating painting my gauge needles red so they will better match my aftermarket gauges. I have read up on what to do and almost everyplace recommends taking the needles off. However several places I read said not to as they are hard to get back in there original positions. Also I tried...
I agree with Hvyman its a personal choice. However dealing with a targa if you never use it seems silly. I often wish mine was a hardtop as I don't remove mine either. The weight savings is just a plus.
Another option I have is to use the gauge cluster as it is off while I swap in a voltmeter where the stock boost gauge was. I see a place for power which I assume is 12v constant, ign+ which I assume would work for the switched 12v, and earth which I could use for ground. Is that all correct...
I am in the middle of installing my AEM boost and UEGO gauges and am unsure where to wire them. There was a really good write up but I have been unable to find it. I have seen several people say that they can be wired into the cigarette lighter and I like that as it would be easy to work on...
No worries also I've heard good things about dynosport in Lincoln but haven't used them. Let me know how it works out. There is also a Parker store in Omaha that can make custom fuel, oil, turbo lines I've used and had good results with but it's a bit pricey.
Not sure the few times I've gone to the shop there have been two or more employees there to talk with. Not really to sure of other import shops in Omaha.
Yea I called SP, figuring I could leave early am drop it to them then get a hotel room and leave the next day. However I was told that they would need the car for several days. Ill look into DKT never heard of them before. I know there is a place in Sioux city and Kc. The 128 just seems like...
I know a few people are using them on there mk3s but I wanted to know what they are doing about knock control/monitoring. I know the 48 doesn't have knock control but does it have monitoring capabilities that maybe throw a check engine light when knock is detected? This is the only thing...
