Yea I just called ARP..DOH!
He said to torque 10ft/lbs over the spec for moly lube is red loctite is used.
So 68 it is.
The only thread I found on the subject someone said they torqed to 75, so I just wanted to make sure.
Thanks!
So im installing a new clutch and using ARP flywheel bolts. ARP's instructions state to torque the bolts to 58ft/lbs using their moly lube or 85ft/lbs using 30wt oil.
It seems that many people use loctite instead of lube on the bolts for extra insurance. I would kind of like to use loctite so...

For high hp people either go with a complete custom fuel setup with a big external pump or dual in tank walbros.
Thanks for the comments guys. I've had this car since I was 15. I am now 23. I built the "poor mans-R" swap that's in it. (GSR 1.8 block, type R pistons, B16 head, B16 transmission).
I caught the last second of what the other driver was doing in my rear view mirror before she hit me. I was in...
Yea I'm glad I was driving the Civic instead of my Supra. I'm sure it can be fixed but don't know how long it will take. I will probably go to physical therapy on Monday.
Poor civic..I think my car is stricken with bad luck.. On my way back to work from my break. Sitting at a redlight and got nailed.
My neck and upper back hurt pretty bad..Got some nice pain meds and muscle relaxers that kinda help.
Hopefully she can be fixed.
Really, they should send out a new disc to you and you send that one back to them. But you can't get the best customer service everywhere..
To refinish it they'll probably just completely replace the kevlar surface so it'd be just like a new clutch.
I had the opportunity to pick up a dual friction clutch that was made by Illegal Garage. I got it for about the same price or cheaper than a new OEM clutch. It appears to be a stock pressure plate and a custom disc with kevlar on one side and metallic pucks on the other.
The disc still has...
WOW..I wouldn't want to get any of those dirty!
Did one of the glass garages remind anyone else off the garage in Ferris Buellers Day Off when they drove the Ferrari through the glass? :biglaugh:
Are our(mk3) diff covers really considered to be a weak part? I don't think I've seen anyone break a diff. cover on an MK3. The subframe connections seem to be somewhat of an issue.
Usually it is something internal like the differential itself or failure caused by the factory crush sleeve.
It really depends on what you want to do with the car..and your mods.. If you want to ditch the AFM and run in speed density, MAFT Pro seems to be the norm. If you are running the stock AFM or a bigger ls400 unit then any other piggyback(like the Apexi SAFC) will work fine.
