I used eristic with great success..Except I just blew the headgasket and the oil pan gasket doesn't work (duh). It came with some random gaskets that I have NFI where they go.
Thought I'd share what started as an ordinary clutch job on my DD Civic that turned into a trans teardown and differential replace job..lol I drained my trans oil and it was completely silver..I knew this couldnt be good.. Once I pulled the axles I noticed chunks of metal next to the axle...
I'm sure you could run this turbo on a completely stock car-but would you want to? I have a friend running a bolt-on upgraded turbo(believe its the SP61) with stock everything minus intake/exhaust and it runs just fine.
It could be doable but you might hit fuel cut seeing as how this turbo is...
I agree wholeheartedly... I CANNOT STAND the people on the roads here in GA. I mean really? Is it that hard to understand? I've had to stop myself from going crazy and shooting tires out.
I still stand by my belief that 8 times out of 10 the person blocking the left lane is from Florida...
Depending on what your oil pressure is, you might want to use that restrictor.
In the Honda word it is usually necessary to run a restrictor even on a journal bearing turbo or usually oil is pushed past the seal and leaks into the exhaust housing during boosting.
You'll probably be fine...
Looks great man! I find this thread interesting because I might be doing the same swap for a friend in the future..Except he's got an S13.
What mount kit did you use? The one from 2jzswap.com?
