just wiring in an SAFC was shitty...
I dont like anything apexi makes, the VPC and GCC arent that great... theres no "refinement" there... the maft pro has WAY more options that you'll probably never even need. If you dont want standalone, maft pro is the best IMO.
somebody wanna convert my gauge cluster to that color for me? haha... im gonna go search for some LED's... I wonder if white LED's would give you a look like that...
I like mine though, it has a build in LED, so you KNOW when its one or off. None of that "forgetting" stuff... haha
And it doesnt take very long to wire in either... espeically if you actually know what your doing...
whats really funny is the fact that supra head and main studs are the same size.
BUT. while rebuild my buddies engine, which was from a 90 eclipse gsx, his mains were smaller than his head studs... i was like wtf? but i guess we make a lot more power then them also... haha
i put mine in that little 4 thingy panel on the left... used a 1.99 dc switch from radioshack...
And you would be suprised how little you really need your fan, i daily drive my car, and i havent used the fan for a good month now... and it hit 99 yesterday... haha
You have a thermostat for a...
Because it gets so hot, it can distort? I've seen pictures of turbos so hot, you can see THROUGH them and see the turbo blades spinning! I framed that picture actually where i use to work, it was on a porsche race car.
and if all of that turbo stuff is true from that sheet, if you were to...
i drove a stock turbo supra... my n/a felt faster. hahahaha
but i would be cautious(sp?)... i would be SUPER anal about the frame under the front bumper, check all of the front areas for damage, you DONT want a messed up frame.
other than the typical supra faded bumpers and what not...
When do you think you'll get the pictures up? im really interested to see them...
and on a side note...
I just got my bearings from titan!!!!
I find it pretty hard to get customer service like i received... any time i called in, they had a REAL answer for my questions, none of that "oh i...
Im stock, but i bought a gutted OEM cat... adds a little more umph, and makes it have a better tone, if you want even more noise, cut out the muffler thats between the cat and rear muffler.
only time will tell... good job rebuilding your own motor though. I dont see why people are so scared... you should also keep this updated with time, as you break the engine in and what not.
When my brother did this, it fried a circuit in the ECU, my dad un-soldered one he got from pick and pull, re-soldered it into the old ecu, and it started up just fine.
you think the bumpers can withstand being baked at 400 degrees for like 4 hours? hahaha... that shit would start to melt at like 200... if not less!
but yeah... powder coat is meant for engine parts. but thats just me.
with the mt-90 it was nicer, but when i switched from the mt-90 to the 75-90ns, i was able to get into gears a lot smoother, especially reverse. I just like the 75-90ns more i guess... i was going to run mt-90 in the R154 first, and then if i dont like it, i was going to switch to the 75-90ns...
that was my FAVORITE part about his post...
he obvisouly has NFI what hes talking about, a mod should really delete his post as its just going to cause problems.
you would have to make a metal rear bumper, and a metal front bumper + nose piece...
but you can get really nice paint jobs from powder coat, but its best suited to the engine bay, and body parts (like subframes and stuff)
