you dont need a FFIM to blow apart ricers... hahaha most weld on a 3-4'' tube... and then weld the inside and outside of the runners, cut the tube in half, and then hand port the runner entrance so its a radius and is smooth into the runner. which is the best design... if you just go and look...

never assume a JDM motor is a "good running 30k miles" its all a bunch of crap... and its really buyer beware on that. but sorry to hear about that, sounds like a fun build!
