heres my question to you...
do you have a lot of money to just DUMP into a car? IF you do this, and keep it clean and was and polish it all the time, in 20years, it'll pay off... but, thats in 20years..
my ball park is 20k~
it really depends on what you need though... do you need OEM...
oh ok, i didnt know you had a completely stock car...
head gaskets are always fun jobs.
did you get new injector seals/o-rings? mine were rock hard when i took them off!
awesome. im guessing your going to have a 3'' cat with a v-band on one side and 2-bolt flange on ther other?
only reason i say 3.5 and 4'' is for those crazy mofos who live in TN and other states where they can get away with it!
if your engine was rebuilt, and hopefully properly done, and you only have 20k on it... i would just save up for now and then once it goes pop i would swap in a 7mgte...
i mean if they did the rebuild correctly, that car should last to at least 100K+
i see most turbos tend to rod knock...
I think you guys should make a cat-back, but "Titan" style... and then have different options like 3'', 3.5'', 4'', and then have the option of having v-bands for the connection between the cat and cat-back.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
and then some more.....
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
oh, and dont forget your going to be waiting a while for some parts.
if you have part numbers for what you want, then it makes it a ton easier also.
I have an 86.5 NA... got tired of it because my brother had a turbo 87... so i wanted a turbo. fast forward 8months later... i buy a 90 turbo supra for $700 and am currently rebuilding it with forged internals, i think i have almost $4000 into the car INCLUDING the purchase price...
If i were...
i've heard stories of people just cleaning the block, and getting the head decked, and there fine...
but you went through all that trouble and you didnt rebuild the bottom end? no money?
theres no reason to run your fans above 30mph... at least with a non turbo...
highway speeds if you are over heating, you have bigger problems then whether or not your fan is working...
before you go and spend like 60 on bearings...
go to napaonline.com, and find the aux bearings there... through napa there $8 for BOTH. if you cant find it, let me know, i'll send you the part number for them.
can you say THRUST WASHER!
its common... you could search for it if you'd like.
Driftmotion sells an OEM one to replace the stocker thats worn out..
and a little off topic... but how do you like the tokico illuminas? i was thinkin about gettin them... PM if you dont wanna discuss it...
uhh... i am buying the right tool...
and i know to debur the rings, i did it every time after i filed...
and the instructions do say to debur/clean up the rings.
get a nice full exhaust that exits out back, and THEN after the cat or pre cat weld in an electric cut out and make it exit the passenger side, that way you dont hear the noise when your driving either... the passenger will, but it will be less noticable for you.
Just my idea of how you could...
redline made my diff a lot louder... never really thought about it, but especially when its cold... i should probably check the fluid level too now thats its been a few hundred miles...
but the ford 75w90 is just as good though?
how can you reduce the "internal friction" without removing the rods? haha... i mean, you could coat the cams, shims, valves and guides... but other than that what else is there to reduce... theres always port and polish though.
Isnt "mirror polishing" the combustion chamber also suppose to...
my BIGGEST problem with the exhaust manifold is that the stud holes protrude INTO the manifold on the inside... have you ever looked? they just kinda "spike" right into the path... i would port them out but im scared of it cracking there...
when i attend school for welding next year im going...
