i got mine all done tonight... that damn tool makes it SOOO much easier..
but i would almost suggest NOT doing both sides at once, because it chews it faster than you think... but i got them done. and my oil rings didnt need any filing... haha
and the only real benefit to this is just keeping the coolant cleaner?
couldnt you like pull the lines up to make it the highest point while you fill through it to bleed all of the air out?
i think he needs to flush the coolant system... and probably clean the radiator (or get a new one)
and how does he know his radiator is boiling? he takes the cap off while its running? lol
how come this has never been mentioned before? hell... i've NEVER even heard of this... lol
but you can use a regular oil filter on the coolant? (makes sense to me)
uhh... seems like a silly idea to me. i'll tell you my store about thermostats...
several of my friends needed some work done to there cars, i suggested just taking the thermostat out, since you "dont" need one... well... my friend who commuted to work with about... 15-30mins of driving his...
im in for one of those "high flow" oil pumps... and whats your "mod" list? if your shootin for 700hp i would like to know what your going to run.
Knife edged crank? moly coated pistons? crank scraper? just wondering is all...
and my biggest question, is what platform did you start from? 92...
im in a debate on rims right now.... not sure which would be better for a daily car. i *plan* to run a set of H&R Springs + Tokico Illuminas (w/ TEMS)
Either... F/R16x8+ 25 OR F17x8+22 R17x9+27
tires for 16'' 235/50/16 up front, and 245 or 255/50/16
tires for 17'' 235/45/17 up front, and...
why do you want to make your own harness if your just going to sell the car? you can get a new harness that matches the car for under $500... somebody said they got one from champion toyota for like $350...
and if you run water/meth on your engine... it'll look fresh with 10k or 100k on it...
my friend has 150k on his, and when you pull a spark plug, you can see the dimples in the piston still...
that was some GREAT timing info though....
Now, what about boring the motor over? i've been...
if your looking for a daily thats going to get better gas milage than a turbo, look into a 240sx, or a honda...
n/a supras are not THAT efficent... highway there ok, but there still gas hogs..
i would NEVER pay $1200 unless it was coming with forged pistons, eagle rods, and a spec sheet for EVERYTHING that was done...
my friend bought a car that was in the process of being "rebuilt"... the guy must have just left the crank in, sanded the cylinder walls with sand paper... just do it...
it depends on how much he really needs though... if your just talking about only interior stuff, then it wont cost 50k.
and if you spend 50k on restoring a supra... i better hope to god your making at least 600+ HP with all that money...
i have NEVER seen a tial move that fast until that video(2nd one)
and i can completely see the point of using the different springs...
its just marketing though...
