well, i meant for the 7M if i decide to go that route... i'll probably do a 2jz swap again... i know what to do and what's needed, so it should go faster this time.
when i had an 87, mine seemed to work fine... only thing is the defrost switch seemed to be broken. it just wasn't staying in. but defrost worked, i just had to play with it until the light stayd on
the max boost i would throw at it is 20psi....peak 25psi
i think it would be fun building a 7M... i know a lot about it, more than i know about a 2jz, so it should be easy for me to do this. and i have a GTE block and head, block is 20 over ready for new JE pistons
oh yeah... would 40 over...
what i want to know, is how much it cost you to build up your 7M. Rods, pistons, complete valvetrain, fuel system, everything... i've done a 2jz swap in the past, which cost a little over 6k. i'm wondering if i can build a 7M to be more powerful than what i had with the 2jz for a lot less...
maybe some of this is useful to you, i know vacuum lines can be so frustrating, kinda makes you wanna give up
i'd say just make sure the FPR and powersteering lines are good, and go from there

it might help to try to find a vacuum diagram for a GE motor, maybe try to find a IS300 somwhere an look under the hood. that can looking thing, i took off, but it was on a GTE motor, i think it was for the turbos somehow, but you don't have those so i don't know.
so it looks like GTE electronics will work. about the only benefit i see though is getting rid if the distributer and having coil packs. i have everything i need to do NA-T, but i want reliability right now, which is exactly what i have.
stock speakers
2 8" JL Audio subs
Kenwood 2ch amp
Alpine head unit
rockford fosgate 1 farad cap
i also have a Alpint type-r sub, but it's just too big to put in the back, i still want room for the top to go back there
i have all the GTE electronics, even have a lexus afm, gte fuel injectors, ecu,
i was thinking of putting just the head on. looks like the distributer and cps go in the head the same. and also using the gte intake manifold. i don't know if GTE cams would be an improvement.
well, i got a 2.5" pipe in to the MAF. then i ook off the old filter box assembly, and i had to drill another hole in the adapter that came with the 7M-GTE FIPK, because the GTE has a bigger hole. but it looks good in there and i can't tell if it feels a little more powerful in the low end, i...
wish you kinda lived closer, or i would take you up on that. the interior i have now is in really good condition, seats look almost new... just, ugly color
well, i don't know where to post this, so i thought here would be best.
i want to use the GTE ignition(cps, coil packs, ignitor) on the GE motor. i was thinking about useing the GTE head alltogether, since it's in great shape and has new valve stem seals. anybodt thought of this. would the NA...
that looks good, i totally forgot until now that i have a ton of 2.5" pipes i can make an intake out of. and i still have the FIPK that i had on the 7mgte a while back.
i'll have to get a camera and take better pics soon... for now though, she needs a lot of cleaning and a lot of fixin.
