When a turbo goes bad what are the side effects and how does the engine proform?

My frustrating Question is that PER the T.S.R.M the bearing cap Torque is 47LBS.It states that you need to make several passes when tightening the cap bolts.can somebody give me an idea on a good strategic tightening sequence due to I don't want to mess up at this point....PLEASE ?

Ok so i know that i have to use the turbo engine harrnes and the e.c.u but can the turbo speedohmeter dash cluster be compatable with my non turbo dash and does my na allready have the plug that shows the boost level on the cluster as well?

ok i know how to check timing by jumping the diag plug with a paper clip or a SST tool,but if i have codes that are in the system. Do i need to unhook the battery and erase the codes out the system or will exsisting codes prevent timing adjusting if if codes exsist?

Are the Lower ball joints the same on the 86 and 88 N/A front suspension?
