I have alot of oil blow by on my original 100,000 mile turbo, so it's time to upgrade it. I was wondering with if I upgraded the trim size if it's mandatory to get a tune. Will it run like shit if I don't tune it?
I'm installing a boost and pyrometer gauge. I'm just wondering what sources everyone used for the power and light? I'm guessing that I'll tap into the dimmer for the light source. But what about the power source for my pyrometer?
The female threads inside my targa is completely stripped on the front drivers side and it wont bolt in. I have a spare targa that fits on perfectly but it's a different color. Is it possible to swap the hardware from inside my spare targa the original?
A buddy of mine who's a photographer took a few professional snapshots of my supra at a car meet. Just posting them up...let me know what you think.

I've had a low and bouncy idle for awhile now, I would usually have to rev it up to keep the rpms at around 700-800 only when the engine got warm. Now it has gotten worse, after a cold start it takes about 30 seconds for it to have a low and bouncy idle (dances around 400-500) almost to the...
About 3 years ago, I had a 92 Celica GT-S and decided to turbo-charged it for shits and giggles. Everything went well while installing it, but when I was pouring oil in there before I started it up for the first time, something went wrong...:sarcasm:...btw before you guys yell at me I was using...
There is an ebay intercooler piping set from etd motors that i am interested in buying. It looks really nice. Before anyone says "just make it on your own" mind you that I'm looking for something that looks clean and neat, and in my opinion most custom piping kits look like poop that i've seen...
Well I had a noise coming from my timing belt area so I took off all the belts to rule out it was any of those, and the noise was still there, which meant it had to do something with the timing belt. So I went off and replaced both the water pump and timing belt. Drove it around for about and...
This is my first time driving the car with the heat on, and it smells kind of funky. I'm wondering if it's possibly my BIC ddp leaking out some exhaust. Any thoughts?
Okay my car won't start, I just finished putting everything back together and went to go start her up, it cranks up, then i hear a few fart pops coming back from the muffler and she dies. I just don't get it, I had the crank set at "0" and the cam gear matchmarks at the correct spots pointing...
Is there any such thing as a fan delete for our cars? My friend just got one for his M3. It's suppose to add about 5hp, but the main reason is I want that big thing out of the way. I know I've seen MK3's without the fan. The kits usually come with a new thermostat and sometimes pulley.
I was at the Toyota dealership the other day to get parts and managed to capture a glimpse at the computer. The parts search engine that they use is supposedly used over the internet, I tried to copy down the address. I was pretty sure it was http://dealer.toyota.com/default.aspx# but it...
Okay this is pissing me off, I've been trying to do a timing belt project and its been turning into a fix everything else project. Now I broke the head of the Bolt that holds the Water Outlet in place, and the stud is stuck inside.
I filed down the stud to be completely flush with the rest...
Okay i got a bit of a problem. I'm doing my timing belt, so I need to get the crank pulley off. I managed to get the crank pulley bolt off, that was easy. But the damn pulley wont come off, im confused, theres no bolt and it still seems to be on just as tight. Any ideas? I'M GOING NUTS :aigo:
I'm doing my timing belt, and I was wondering if anyone here has been successful doing the job with the radiator still in place. I checked the TSRM and it says the radiator has to be removed, just wondering if theres a way around it. There seems to be enough room to work with but I just want...
I will be demonstrating on how to install a driveshaft on my 87 Turbo, I will be providing detailed pictures to make your lives 30 times easier. It is fairly easy to install a shaft so do not be intimidated, I have had more trouble changing my brakes than installing this driveshaft. I...
I'm an idiot when it comes to the A/C system, this is my first time ever working on it, from what I can tell the fitting thats on the compressor has been converted to R134a because it doesnt have the R12 valve stem:
There is also another fitting near the condenser, I converted it myself...
I am installing springs and according the TSRM I need to disconnect the upper control arm. I loosened it up and a long bolt (no longer than a foot long) is required to come out horizontally but hits something and wont let me take it out. Has anyone else had this problem?
Edit: heres a pic...
