IF 255/45/17 all around...

THEN...

17x9.5 +15

-OR-

17x9 +30 all around.

Which, and why or why not.

Thank you,

i would go 17 x 9.5 + 15 and like a 265 or 285 cause i can fit 245's on stock wheels just fine. so why not go wider and not stretch

Thank you for the feedback...

I already have fresh 255/45 rubber on current 17x8 rims, so wanting to reuse. I don't think 255 is much "stretch" at all on 9", and minimal on 9.5"? (I would likely go 265~285 on rear next round.)

So +15 will "clear" on a minor drop at that size? This is my 1st concern.

Thanks!

There is another meme we on another supra forum who has the same wheels and offset and he said he just needed to bend the inside lip of the fender just a tad so it not horizontal. I'm trying to contact him

I can't roll because one if my rear fenders has a bondo repair right where you would roll it

255 won't stretch on a 9.5" wheel. If you're not going to be "low", 9.5+15 will fit without a fender roll.

Then instead of rolling, cut the inside of the fender.

Ok cool thanks. Do you think there are any other ways to get rid of that lip cause of the bondo repair and the car just got painted. Could I just grinder and cut lip off and grind and sand the edges smooth

Rodel,

Appreciate your input. Of all people, I KNOW you know wheels, rubber and stance!

To clarify, when you say 255 "won't stretch" on 9.5", do you mean it "can't" fit a 9.5" or that it's not MUCH of a stretch at all? If the former, then I shouldn't go over 9" width w/255... if the latter, then I'm good to go 9.5" w/ 255/45/17 +15?

Thank you,

You're welcome.

255 will fit on a 9.5", but it's not MUCH of a stretch at all. (Actually, there will be no stretch). You're good to go on 9.5"+15 w/ 255/45/17

I AM LOOKING TO GET WORK EMOTIONS CR'S 18x8.5 FRONT 18X9.5 IN THE REAR I WANT TO KNOW WHAT OFFSETS WOULD BE BEST FIT 235/40/18'S UP FRONT AND 275/35/18 MAYBE 285/3518 IF I PULL MY FENDER A LITTLE. MY FENDERS ARE CURRENTLY ROLLED FLAT ALL THE WAY AROUND. THE 18X9.5'S COME IN +38,+30,+20, & +12 OFFSETS AND THE 18X8.5'S COME IN +38, & +32 OFFSETS. I WOULD LOVE TO RUN THE 18X9.5 FRONT AND 18X10.5 REARS BUT THE 18X10.5'S ONLY COME IN +23 OFFSET AND I DON'T REALLY WANT TO PULL MY FENDERS LIKE AND INCH OR MORE.
