Pink tint??? WTF are you on? I do plan on installing my flushmounts, but I still need to get someone who knows how to weld and fabricate so I can reinforce my radiator support. That, and someone who knows wiring (I can only solder). Justin, I plan on gettilng a couple cans of Gunk this weekend and cleaning my engine bay. And also getting the rest of the damn bugs off my front end.

The plate is because apparently Oregon requires the plate to be in the frontal most part of the car. I did some work today on the car. I installed the rear strut bar (royal pain in the ass) and cleaned my spare tire well. Next step is to modify the spare tire cover and carpet so I can relocate the battery so I can install my flushmount headlights. Here's some pics.

Dude, it's fucking freezing here and the garage has a dragster on 1 side and tools on the other. I have to work in the elements. Although I'll do the clear bubble markers next since I don't have to have them (I think) on the car to drive. That'll be a fun couple hours.

Just ordered new tail light seals, front hood seal, hood rubber bumpers (that the hood rests on), hatch seal, hatch bumpers (little rubber bumpers attached to bottom of the hatch), and took home with me a new TRD shift knob and FIPG for the oil pan. I'll pick up the parts tomorrow. Pictures will come when I get the rest of the parts tomorrow.

Still haven't gotten the rest of my parts I have to wait until Monday to get them. I installed new tail light seals tonight. The drivers side tail light was full of water and there was a lot of crap all around the lights. Little brake cleaner and a rag, brush, and a air nozzle solved that problem quickly. I temporarily disabled my car in order to help out a new member that lives down the street. Sold him my MAP sensor. With any luck I'll have a new one within a couple days. And yes, I will eventually download the pics from my camera.

As promised, here's the pictures. Just got a turbo guage cluster with only 91,324 miles on it. I'll be tearing it apart soon to install my goodies on it. Should be getting a few more things shortly, like a good 2JZ-GTE PS pump and replacement antenna. Next thing I have to do is figure out where my boost gauge head went and how/where to mount it and to figure out how to mount properly my stereo head unit.

Replaced my heater valve finally and replaced a really weird clamp around 1 of the hoses on the heater valve. I also got rid of a connector that isn't necessary unless I have an 89+ body. I got bored tonight, so I decided to be productive and install my reverse glow guage faces and brushed stainless steel guage cluster trim piece. I'll get a fresh 2J MAP sensor tomorrow. After I get my MAP sensor, I'll go pick up the rest of my parts that are waiting for me at the local Toyota dealership and install them, along with my fresh guage cluster.

Installed my gauge cluster, 2JZ-GTE MAP sensor, new hood gasket (front), new front hood bumpers, new factory windshield wipers today. I still need to wire up the guage faces though. I also got bored tonight, so I drilled a hole in the back of my ash tray to let the wires through for the turbo timer. Next step is to create a place that the turbo timer can sit in snugly and skin it so that it looks nice. Tomorrow I'm probably going to relocate my battery and install my clear bubble markers.

My mom's fiance and I worked on my battery relocation today. We cut out a space in the spare tire cover and carpet for the battery box, relocated the jack handle, dyed the under carpet with fabric spray paint, and fabricated holders for the prop arm. I need to get a tray for the battery to rest on and then I can finish the relocation of the battery.

Got restless and decided to install my clear bubble markers. Cut a criss cross pattern with an air cut-off wheel, then broke most of the lense off with needle nose pliers. From there, it was a large wire cutter and a file until all the remnants of the amber lenses were gone. Then I cleaned the backings with hot soapy water to make sure they are clean. Then I filed the bottoms of the lenses to make them flat, and super glued them to the backing. Once that was dry, I ran super glue in the crack all around the lense assembly to make sure it was sealed, and to make it look better. I ran out of super glue, so I couldn't finish running the glue around the 2nd lense. I'll try and pick up a bottle tomorrow to finisht the job. Enough of my yapping, on with the pictures.

13lb cap is OEM spec.

Wouldn't it have been easier to just heat the lenses to get the glue to melt? I've done that with lenses from my Porsche...just have to do it very carefully and slowly...Looks like you are treating this Supra with the respect it deserves! Nice Job!
