Yo before u put your intake manifold u might want to open up the water channel hole that goes to the IAC valve body and torque it a few more lbs than the book says. Mine dripped coolant from that spot and I had to do this to fix it. A real pain in the ass once the engine is installed. A lot of cuts and scrapes on my hands and arms. I went to 18lbs for the torque. Book calls for 14 lbs I believe. Just something to think about. I took mine apart 3 times trying to fix that leak. Not fun.... it's good now though...

Right on, I'll keep than in mind. Trying to handle as much of that kind of stuff as I can before the motor goes in.

I remember getting to an O-ring near my IAC on my 87 4Runner turbo. That sucker was jammed up in there. Sucked donkey balls repairing it in the truck.

A Supra is so much tighter in the engine bay... I cant imagine its any fun dealing with anything IAC related once the motors in.

Great progress I remember buying most of that stuff too always got stuck needing something small and having to wait a few days for it to come in

I am also running the rc 550's they seem to be doing just fine

No paint on the exhaust manifold or turbo hot side to clean up the look a little?

I'd recommend painting the exhaust manifold. I redid my studs when the motor was out but my dumbass didn't paint the exhaust manifold. I wish i did tho :(

Yeah its a timely process but better not rushed.

I did the manifold but not the turbo. Good call, thank you.

Went back and redid the manifold, had some silver VHT ceramic header paint left over from my 22R-TE build.

Thanks for the recommendation.

Thanks, it was an eyesore.

You can still get the timing cover sticker new from Toyota (ex.Japan) :)

Loving this build, OEM 4tw. It is good to see some Supra's get the restoration treatment rather than the usual max power builds. Nothing wrong with them, but I think these car's have come of age where restorations are just as appealing.

It is a shame so many parts are discontinued though.

Thanks hybrid. I love the MKIII supra for what it is, always wanted to own a nice clean one. Too many are distastefully modded or beat to hell.

Parts availability sure sucks, boy what I'd do for some new targa trims...
