eighty-7t, I can add it to the list of requested guides. What exactly do you want to show, removal and reinstallation? Rework of the connectors? Adjusting for timing (I think I've done that one) or something else?

:) I do tend to find it in pieces more than I perhaps need! I'm in the middle of a forged rebuild so that's going to be a big guide towards the end of the year/next year As for what happened on .net, probably not a discussion to have on here :)

Hi, I hope it's OK to post this, I asked a couple of times in the contributors area but got no response. I just wanted people to be aware that all the guides that were on here (and more) are now being hosted on a new UK site at this location: http://www.mk3supra.org/forum/49-guides/ James

questions on changing head gasket. pls help!

Plug them where possible and blow them out with compressed air, pipe cleaners etc otherwise. It's always easier if the head and block are completely disassembled because you can clean it properly

Definitely sounds like alternator - what was it charging at? I've had them both over and under charge prior to failure on Supras

No heat with a 180% thermostat in

It's easy to bypass the heater valve to test that but we quite often find in the UK that the heater control panel needs to be reworked, see here ... http://www.mkiiisupra.net/bbs/showthread.php?t=35474

questions on changing head gasket. pls help!

If you're talking about the outside of the engine then at the end of the day you've got chunks of metal covered in dirt, use what you like but just clean it off later. Petrol, carb cleaner, gunk etc

    It should start.... but won't.

That's nothing to worry about on the compression front As mentioned have you double checked the firing order? Don't rule out an obvious mistake at this stage Also, have you measure fuel pressure as opposed to just presence?

    Hello again ...

Things are fine and well, just finishing off a T4 onto my 7M which has been ... challenging! Pop over and say hi, Bondy's still kicking around of course, glad it's still running well I forgot how active this place is, a quick zip through the tech section and I was hooked - I better post some...

    It should start.... but won't.

OK if you've definitely got fuel covered let's look at spark and compression. For the spark I presume you have grounded the electrode of the plug and checked the quality? How does it look? The likelihood of it being too weak to ignite the mix is slim but possible. Have you done a compression...

    problems upon start up

Excessive cranking may be due to fuel pressure building back up, poor plugs/leads, timing being out etc. I would pop all 6 plugs out and have a look at them for a start. The oil pressure is almost certainly the wire to the sender - it is on the block (exhaust side) behind and below where the...

questions on changing head gasket. pls help!

I've used all sorts of FIPG (form in place gasket) materials over the years and never had a problem, you don't need to get Toyota ones to do this. This might help you: http://www.mkiiisupra.net/bbs/showthread.php?t=35576
