Curb +1, Axle carrier or Control arm?-1

It is lowered 1 inch. The passenger side was able to be aligned correctly but not the driver side. So right now both sides are at -1.7.

Curb +1, Axle carrier or Control arm?-1

So a friends 90 Supra had a run in with a curb and both left wheels hit. As it turns out all the front end components are still good other than the wheels. The rear end strut and strut mount where damaged and replaced, everthing looks fine but when he had it aligned the furthest the rear...

    New Engine, Cracked Block, Fixable?

It was snug and then got loose so I took it back out to see what the deal was. Its not a oil filter stud. No you are right, I bad info, with the exception of the stock head bolts.

    New Engine, Cracked Block, Fixable?

That is true, and no I was not going gorilla although I wanted to after it broke. Not 100% sure on this but I believe most of the bolts on this engine are torque to yield bolts, so tightening them to factor specs well run the risk of them coming loose. However to solve this problem I bought...

    New Engine, Cracked Block, Fixable?

Yeah it was magnafluxed, but I really didnt think much of a 1 inch diameter bolt going into a cast iron block. Unfortunantly for me and my lost job, Im probably just going to have to cut my losses and sell out on everything.

    New Engine, Cracked Block, Fixable?

I usually check torque specs on most things before installing but I figure it would be safe to just get it snug. The torque spec I believe is 36ft/lbs and I pretty sure I didnt have much more than that so whether or not is was already damaged Im not sure. This was going to be made for 400+...

    New Engine, Cracked Block, Fixable?

So have nearly $3k tied up in this engine and everything is new. When I was installing the oil filter adapter the large banjo bolt that holds the adapter in place cracked the block where it threads into the side. The red line indicates where the crack is on the threaded part. Now my question...

    need an SME on electrical

    1. Get the batteries recharged with an external charger, and reinstall batteries, most autopart stores can load test and recharge batteries for free. 2. With a voltmeter check charging voltage at the batteries, then check at the alternator. If charging voltage is good and matching, chances...

    CT-26 replacement wastegate flap/door

Anyone know where to find a larger wastegate flap to replace the stock one so that I can bore out the wastegate more. I already bored it out as far as it can go and ground off the leading entrance edge and I am still getting boost creep.

is this a good price on a turbo?

Bad deal, get yours rebuilt and upgraded for $475 at PT. But depending on your goals chances are the 60-1 is more turbo than you need to make them. Buying used turbos is a bad idea because a turbo can hide damage quite well. Do it the right way and get yours rebuilt.

    Fog light Shield removal ??

If I was 5 feet further back then the main portion of the beam was on the ground. And actually we were far enough back to see that th stock lights on the right are slightly higher due to the fact that the car on the right has new tires and mine on the left are low on tread.

    Fog light Shield removal ??

Actually it is more of a legality issue as you legally cant have 4 head lights in most areas. So to get around that the manufactures place shields in them so they aren't not actually classified as a headlight. Seriously what percentage of fog light owners actually claim that their fog lights...

Okay I dont know more than the professionals, I did not blind any of my friends when driving around them for a half hour yesterday and the two cops that I drove by yesterday didnt give a shit about my lights. Now let me whip a bunch of money out of my ass so I can go buy some good lights. Fog...
