ive seriously just about had it with this place...
cutting the very top coil isnt going to do anything. but whatever, done it to 3 cars and no problems, unsafe my ass
sorry for the newbness...when pressurizing the manifold, you dont get any leaks/whistles from a cyl on valve overlap?
when we pressure test intake systems on the semi's at work we have a plug on one end and we only pressurize the intercooler and hoses.
just assumed the process would be the...
get lowering springs or just chop the top coil off the stock springs if youre super cheap...it weakens the spring rate a little but ive seen plenty of daily drivers that perform well with just that little extra to get the stance right....not the proper way of doing things...but if your not the...
to do it with the air hammer, large snap rings and a torch it didnt take very long at all...now finding that exact combo was the time consumer...but even from start to finish and plenty of smoke breaks i think it was about a 4hr job, im sure i could do it in less than half that now.
the trick...
i get the point in reading the same old crap everyday...i get that in the kawasaki forums im in and im somewhat of a guru as you 3 are when it comes to that...reading the title is kindve bad enough as it is. but what are forums for if all people ever do is just search? whats the fun in that?
my...
ok...wow, relax. i thought it could have been a related problem, he did mention he replaced the plugs and THEN the codes came on. i mean they ARE knock sensors...what do they sense? so i didnt know the code was electric issue only...as for dangerously wrong advice, i DID point him in the right...
1 is almost in line with the strut tower and the other is at the back of the block if that helps, single wire connectors should be green...IF you can even see down there, a mechanics mirror should help a lot
+1 on the 2 above posts...(MAYBE) and no, no and no to the ones above that...i have the exact same problem but didnt want to make a new thread over it.
the problem in more detail is that when cranking the engine, it WILL start, but takes 3-5 seconds of cranking before it fires, worse the...
breaker bar + 4ft tube ftw...if you want to do it on the car like i did...but im a dumbass and do things a little different...instructions are for pussies, lol
replacing the plugs and wires shouldnt cause the code unless you bumped the wire and broke the insulation.
the o2 and knock sensors are shielded wires...sort of like a coax in a radio system. its a signal core and a shield wire on the outside. (2 wires and 2 sets of insulations all in 1 wire)...
only one way to find out, pop the box out and leave it overnight. reinstall it and try to start the car.
i doubt a bad resistor would drain the battery. maybe something with the ignition still feeding power to something but not the rest...could be a stuck relay sometimes too.
the new bearing comes with the nut i think...if not, i dont think its going to give you any problems.
pressing the bearing center out of the hub is a bitch. i left the spindle on the car and used an air hammer to get it out.
also its behind the fuse panel. its a square box and says integration. pull the foot rest off, pop the kick panel off. theres a 10mm nut at the bottom of the fuse panel (blue one) pull it back a little and pop the box off. you can take the box into radio shack and they can match up the resistor...
they dont have obd...you have to make a jumper wire and connect it between 2 terminals in the diagnostic connector under the hood next to the fuse box. connect between e1 and te1 and turn the key to acc and read the blink code. the flash works as 2 digit codes for example you get code 34 the...
after searching e3 spark plug (problems or damage) and didnt read any nasty horror stories, just people saying "i know a guy that blew it up" more specifically an evo tuner that ran a similar plug, pulstars and damaged a couple motors. i read a post that actually made a lot of sense, he said...
fixed my o2 sensor wiring and got 25 on the trip back and thats with a passenger, a little luggage and boosting a lot to pass around people on those annoying 2 lane country roads, i was in awe when i punched the number.
hoping to get a little more with a new o2 sensor, and a decent safc...
