fuel cut is at 14 right? i added an extra shim to my wastegate (planning on doing the 57 trim new turbo anyways, so why not waste the gate) i hit fuel cut, not bad just a couple times but she hauls now. beat a newer z28 in 4th last night
bypassed my box 2 days ago, fixed the tails but killed the spoiler light, wtf?
i used the same guide, splice the green and green/wht together, then the red and...forget the color.
brake lights work great, and no farting car light on the dash
im pretty sure the weight diff is about 150-200 lbs between the targa and hard top. get rid of the seats and start deleting as much stuff as you can and it might get a little more reasonable...gutted and chopped, but should be a lot more nimble.
in the service manual are reference points to measure from...write everything down and do as many references as you can. make a determination of whats going to need to be pulled, hammered or even cut and welded to make panels line up.
a wreck like that can be a bitch to get the front to line...
anyone for playing video games? forza 3 just came out, yea yea, dont laugh...
seriously though, the game IS a simulation, hell now its even got a clutch feature if you buy the right wheel for it. i just mess around on there and got decent at it (most people cant even drive around in a normal...
ive heard flowmaster on a couple 240's and it sounded good...not really my thing, i want the big ass pipe hanging off the tail...maybe not as huge as the n1, but you know the look...give the car a lot more attitude with stock bodywork
cant wait for the 57 trim, hoping to have it under the tree next month.
quick question....with the 57-ct26, should i go to upgrading the fuel pump first to help with fuel cut, or how much is the stock pump good till? full 3" exhaust is the only mod on it right now, stock outlet even. will an...
goddamn i cant wait to do the rest of the car up in led...i did the gauges from the writeup with superbrightled.com cost about 25 shipped for the cluster and an extra bulb for my autometer temp gauge. ill wait for the climate, thats a shit ton of led's for all that, i think ill just buy like 5...
ha, and all this time i thought my n1 was quiet...well compared to the rice muffler that was on my teg and the muzzy pipe on my zx7. agreed though, youre not going to quiet it down to stock or even near stock without a resonator and a highly packed muffler.
how old is the n1? maybe the...
ewww, i mean i guess its cool if no one sits back there...not that they could anyways, i just dont care for look you have there
i think 6x9's sound twice as good as a 6.5" round...but who cares, its what the guy wants to do
i read that the engines run anywhere between 25-40psi depending on idling or cruising, seems like mine is at 20 when it was warmer out, just cruising at 1500 or so. now that its getting cooler out im right below the 40 mark on the stock gauge at 2700 on the highway. im not extremely worried...
looks good man. sorry for the newbness but are you running stock coils? is there any real trick to mounting them at the back of the head? just swap the wires around and then extend the harness or will it reach back there?
i really like the cleaner look with them back there, seen it on a few...
mine went off the other day, ive only had the car for 2 weeks now and had no clue the factory alarm worked (i knew about the security light) but i always thought it needed to be armed by remote or something...well i opened the passenger door first after leaving it sit overnight and it starts...
on the topic of o2 sensors and turbo outlets...2 questions, i have a full 3" already that bolts to the stock outlet (i read theres tons of power to be had from changing the outlet, but i havnt found just that piece, its the entire downpipe which id then need to adapt to what i have.) any links...
because i didnt want to remove the spindle from the car, i couldnt get a good swing with a hammer to press the center section of the bearing out of the spindle. the air hammer alone wouldnt do it either, so i heated the center section and she popped right out...took me a min to find the snap...
youre def right on that. im a diesel tech so for the most part all of this stuff is cake work...toyota just takes some time getting used to. the 86.5 n/a was my first car at 15y/o and absolutely zero mechanic experience. i got the car for 300 bucks and it had a thrown rod on #6. i ended up...
been there...try breaking the base of a spark plug off in the head...never thought i was gonna drive it again.
then i realized that i could use a special ease out and she came out first try without stripping any shavings down the hole too...sometimes you just need a smoke break and some advice
