Have already found another harness and ECM for myself. The pictures really didnt capture how crap-tacular the black paint is. It was either a rattle can or sprayed on with too much pressure. Really bad orange-peel going on. Plus the mouldings are painted black as well. The door pic was taken...
Then I got an entire turbo motorset to swap over to my car. Originally the guy wanted to swap cars. After looking at his I decided that was a no go. Then he proposed swapping drivetrains. My NA motorset for his turbo motorset. His is suffering major wiring problems and mine runs fine. After...
This month went back to the Supra. Started with tearing down the turbo engine I picked up. Was able to 100% confirm BHG.
The claim was that they had just replaced the HG the month before and it still overheated. They ordered one of the Ebay motors and I got this one for cheap.
I know up to 89 there is no way of tracking a 7M engine to a VIN in the Supra or Cressida. The Celica and Camry, 3SFE and 5SFE series however does have a VIN tag on the block.
As Rennat stated, sounds more like a case of missing bulb to cover up tripped SRS computer. If you want it working take csnow up on his offer. I would reccomend going through the trouble of replacing the harness as well. With things cut up and hacked the way you describe there is no telling what...
Thanks for the confirmation on the harness. Studying the TEWD, it looks as if the voltmeter and turbo gauges share the same power and ground circuit. Should make the gauges a simple swap out. May have to swap over the overlay but it looks more like the turbo circuit is in the gauge. Will know...
Am in the process of doing a turbo conversion. I understand the tach electronics ar different on NA and turbo cars. I am swapping a complete cluster from a turbo into my NA chassis. Is the cluster plug and play or do I also need to swap harness? Also, can I run the NA voltmeter in place of the...
To clarify a few things I have read in this thread. Supra FF is located in rear of car. Cresida FF is located under intake manifold. Not the first time I have heard this information crossed before.
Also, the recommended interval is inspection at 15K and replacement at 30K. Although the...
Have already called Drew about the shell. Should be picking it up this evening. Will also give his engine a look over to see what he has going on. Judging by the pics I wouls say he has a very solid block. There was a lot of oil in the turbo when I last looked at it.
I have my old MK IV style wing. I'll make you a deal on it if you want it. Pics can be found here,

Can anyone confirm the yellow thing is a Supra? Looks to be more of a Firebird than Supra from what I can see. Or maybe I am just really hoping someone didnt destroy a Supra.
Why spread the FUD? There is nothing wrong with stock head bolts on the stock 7M. The only problem is improper prep work and torque values.
