I wasnt particularly looking for a SUpra when I found mine. I am just a Toyota buff so anything but a Tercel has my attention. A customer came in buying a bunch of parts and was telling me about this Supra that he had and needed to sell. The more he talked the more interested I had become. After...

For the LEDs I have, the stock resistor value is just too low. The blue is really bright. Turning the dimmer down to almost off they are almost just right. I havent pulled the CC back to check what is in place yet. One I can pull it down and determine what resistors are in place I will do my...
Not very hard. You do have to do some modding to get it to fit right however. I had to cut an IC socket into place to get it spaced right. The pins on the replacement segment arent as long as the stock green one.
I recently changed mine to blue. I still havent found the perfect place for the resistors to knock the voltage down so they arent as bright. I also replaced the 7 segment temp readout on mine. I didnt want to expirment on different plastics and tints to get a good hue of blue. Was easy enough...
It may even be a NA district thing as well. I remember that some of our Camry's had some weird option that wasnt available in another district. I dont remember what it was ATM.
The thread you refer to was Doward asking about a different center pedestal on his 89+ wing which was a dealer...
Not the factory spoiler. There was a dealer installed spoiler that mimics the factory spoiler. That is the one that came with the template inside.
I have never seen a template inside the factory spoilers that I have handled. Not even the ones we ordered from Toyota for the Camry's.
There was never an installtion kit seperate. It was just a paper template rolled up inside the spoiler packaging. Dont bother going to dealership to get one as they will no longer exist. The best thing you can do at this point is to measure everything and lay it out on your car with a grease...
Another month, another update...
This month I I had to step back and pour a little money into my daily driver. It is an 89 Celica ST. It needed a little engine refresh. It got .020 pistons, new oil pump, new radiator and rebuilt head. Assembled the engine this weekend. Should have it dropped...
I just did my CC, hazard, fog, cruise and defrost switches in blue. They look fuggin' great! I do still need to knock the voltage down to my CC though. The blue is still a tad bright for my taste.

I would expect somewhere in the range of 2-10% gain with larger TB. Timing and cams are the next obstacle to take on to take advantage of these mods already in place. Of course this is speculation where the Supra is concerned based on other vehicles I have modded.
If the stock flap style AFM is used, there is very little gain other than a cool, dense air charge. The stock AFM is the single biggest restriction in the N/A intake with stock cams.
