A couple things I would check are the ISC, TPS and AFM. All when they're warm. When my AFM failed it was tempature specific, the only way I found it was but testing it after heating it with a hairdryer.
Okay, nevermind on my wires not being color coded, I'm looking in my '88 TEWD and I recognize the colors. They are as follows: #1 and #4 - White/Blue and Yellow; #2 and #6 - White/Red and Black; #3 and #5 - White and Red.
I hope this helps.
Really? Huh, I was under the impression that at least the pre89's all had the alternating colored clips. My harness has one set of 3 white clips and one set of 3 brown clips. I just checked, the wires running to my clips are not colored in such a way that that they appeard to be colored in a...
Whoops, yeah that's definitely the back of the car. You sure it wasn't gas? It looks like some liquid ran down the side of the tank and moved aroung the bottom a bit.
I didn't know which he had (don't care *that much* :icon_razz ). lol
Just figured I'd cover the main spots to check. I did leave out the brake booster and PS reservior though, and had it been the clutch master of slave he'd probably know it by now. Gear oil is a definite possibility since we...
An automatic transmission which dumps "tons" of fluid doesn't drive very far... and probably not all the way home.
There are a number of possibilities here: oil blowing out of the dipstick tube from excessive blowby or a clogged PCV system, a crankcase breather hose which has split close to...
Hehe, great time to get those "Before" pictures... If you'd prefer I can print those very small. ;)
So long as the boss isn't around, I'll be willing to do this next Saturday.
I'm N/A, it's routed back to the TB.
I see water, oil and some gas. The gas is really only evident during cold weather... but I am planning on replacing the rings and possibly getting the block honed within the next year or so. I'm also running pretty rich, so I suspect the CSI is dumping in...
I couldn't tell you which cyl you need to pull if it's not USDM. As for the rubber topped keys, in the US the pre89 ones have apparently been discontinued.
First off, if you have the engine undercover the leak could really be up front or in the middle.
As for hoses, the N/A's only hose to worry about is the crank case breather. When mine went it was fine on minute and split in half for about 6" the next. If you're running an oil cooler or a...
