No, you've either got a short in your VAF's harness OR the fuel pump's been rewired (and VERY poorly by the sound of it).

st2b is dead right. There is NO WAY a stock N/A will run with the VAF disconnected... If that is indeed the case I suggest you start working on getting the wiring back to stock first. Checking for vacuum leaks, calibrating the TPS and checking out the ISC aren't bad ideas, but I would start with...

It's commonly accepted that the Phillips were used to prevent over tightening. When you guys replace yours use a torque wrench and remember... it's 22 INCH pounds. ;)

IIRC the nipples are press fit, so either swelling the old ones or pressing in replacements should be fine... although I don't think you're going to find replacements from Toyota.

Yeah, my alternator nut is a replacement. ;) IIRC, there are some 15mm bolts on our cars... I can't remember for sure, but I'm thinking starter and something on or around the diff... then again I could just be tired. :) Have yet to find a 13mm myself.

Mine takes a 15mm wrench and a 14mm socket, but I've seen 2 14's before as well. Thanks for posting your findings.

Take a 10mm, 12mm, 14mm and 15mm and you're set for MOST roadside wrenching.

Comparing dyno results is practically worthless... too much deviation from one shop to the next and it only gets worse if the make of the dyno changes. Don't get me wrong, they're good for checking to see where you're at and if your work is paying off, but only if you're running on the same...
