^ the crank doesnt determine the the redline its the ecu. dumbo - 86.5-89 redline is 6500. my 89 is 6500.

90-92 it was drop 250 rpm. i have a 89 with a late block late crank.

^ you sure about that. i have a greddy type-s too and mine is loosend all the way with zero compressor surge at all at 8psi on 57trim. it was my under standing that if you hooked up the smaller port it needed to go back into the turbo inlet and it would make it just sound differently.

sigh only if they recalled the hg probelm.

did you properly seat the rings? bad rings will burn oil like crazy.

how worn is your key? find one that is similar and it might work. did for me with my old car. also you could always try a coat hanger/slim jim, or call AAA.

find some wider wheels. thats only .5 in bigger than stock with a skinnier tire.
