Hows the oil and coolant? Sounds like some nasty valve tick or starting rod knock. I would do a compression test, leak down test, and block test and go from there. If the oil is all brown and choc milky i would just find a good motor or do a full rebuild.

Yes you can use the auto ecu with a 5speed but not the other way around. You would also need, r154 fly wheel, r154 clutch, r154 pp,r154 pilot and throw out bearing + washers and clips, r154 salve cylinder, master cylinder, fluid lines, pedal assembly.

Oil pressure is related to engine rpm not vehicle speed. If your going off the stock gauge i would get a mech gauge that goes temply where the sender is and verify what exactly the oil pressure is.

Flush out the oil just to make sure no coolant got in.

Oil prolly just dripped down the valve seals from sitting. Replace the valve cover gaskets and apply fipg at the corners of the front cam caps. Oil can also leak from the 4 top 14mm plugs between every 2 spark plugs that hold the no.3 valve cover on.

Take the accordion hose off and see if there is shaft play on the turbo. In and out and side to side.

All the mhg's ive seen have the viton on the outside. If your reusing you can spray the copper spray just make sure the gasket is clean.

You should be able to push the axles in and get enough room to slide them around the hubs on the diff if the rear wheels are off the ground.

You dont mess with the throttle just turn the sensor. If it doesnt do anything its prolly bad and a multi meter will tell you that.

12in wont fit unless you get wider fenders.

89 and below had memory.. So you could lift the wheel up and then it would go back down to where it was. 90+ did not have this and had the 2 piece undercover on the drivers side, so in order to use that piece you have to cut out the part for the 3rd lever or swap columns.

It is but the bolt holes are already existing. The lower mount on the belt part can be tricky tho as you have to mount it in a different spot. Edit: the smaller rear speakers do not have holes or plugs. The plus with it being a 89 tho is you dont ahve to swap columns or cut the lower dash on...

Bolts right in. You just wont have the targa holders unless you drill holes in the plastic.
