Wideband and AFPR tend to go hand in hand, you'll definately need those to work magic with the megasquirt. But the new fuel pump is a must, I wouldn't want a 20 year old pump burning out on me under boost, cause for disaster. but with doubling stock boost expect about 300rwhp.
marquis of lorne, I think they should of just finished construction, once you get on that back secondary highway I've never seen a cop, always take that way to avoid highway 1 traffic halfway back to home. and as for the wideband, I'm pretty sure climate is a big factor in the bouncing around...
bumped an old post but you could see how far "hiper racing" is from you as previously stated. don't expect work to be cheap though especially if you want to make high hp!
I'm sure with a 57 clipped and a tune you could get maximum power out of it, but the only real way to get your nasty torque curve is with a newer turbo and getting a whole new manifold/downpipe. theirs no real cheap way of making power. although their is quick which is kind of the route you did...
nice srt8?
I got a jaguar x-type for daily driving 2002 and I bag the hell out of it. AWD, 5 speed and a sunroof. just a puny 2.5 v6 though. I think next summer I might get an audi, I have to have AWD though canada has some crazy winters and our ditches get full quick lol my supra is a 2.5 tt-r...
oh right tundras are 4.7, didn;t they make a bigger 5.4 now too?
I think I've read about someone doing the landcruiser motor now that I think about it.
is a 1fz-fe the 5l truck motor? an AWD supra?? nucking futs show me this thing! but I think if it is what I'm thinking it should fit in like a 1uz! that reminds me its a 2uz thats a the 5l truck motor. what is that then? although a v8 supra is badass, especially keeping it toyota
I think a properly rebuilt ct-26 plus a tune could make 500whp, you may need cams though for a little extra low end torque (even though the higher revs wont make much of a difference with the stock turbo).
But the turbo was used it could be kaput as well. he'd had no luck with his ct upgrades. I suggest going to Albert if he has time rather then DM.
I once raced a skyline in my jdm sl500, very foolish, yes I won by a ridiculous ammount of car lengths but my car was smoking and pissing...
their use to be a blue with white racing stripes indy 500 dodge shortbox pickup around the corner from where I lived, I always drooled over that thing. Believe it was a v8 5-speed if I'm correct. I thought it was a v10 when I first saw it, and heard the guy reving it up. but after that it never...
I would say no, once you put that much effort into something you should see it to the end. put the motor back in and drive it, if people like it, sell the whole motor then. then you got a big jump on your 2jz, no point of turning around once your done and starting over. by the time you got all...
well if your going to go that route your basically starting over. If you have the money to rebuild your motor you 'mise well do it right with all new internals. Or else go to 2jz like I believe you said you had that option available.
or you can get it running just not optimum for the mean...
your motor may have always had lower compression in those cylinders as well. still could of ran, but not as great. Explains why your having so many problems, sounds/looks in rough shape in general. maybe go through and make sure your car has everything it needs, freshen up what really should be...
he's an oldschool member and hes trying to talk you out of it by the sounds of it. If you can wait two months we can both send in requests the same time to make it worth his while to put in work. We should meet up and go for a cruise sometime. I'm sure your pumping out more horsepower then me...
oooh I will get pics and update mine once my short-shifter is in. I got my stock tt-r buckets refurbished with some red stitching for that extra pop ;) all momo/recaro interior pretty much now, even the pedals.
yeah a CBR1000 can smoke my supra but no fucking civic I ever come across can.. maybe the few youtube-ers lmao. but a honda car is like a horse drawn carriage, sure theres people riding them around, but it takes someone real special to make it 100 horsepower.
