I just recently looked into this, their is a special window trim paint you can get all you do is scuff the existing trim and then mask off your window and spray. As for the trim on your car I wouldn't bother unless your going to repaint the whole car. otherwise you can try to buy new trim...
yeah I bought a DM intercooler kit and I heard it's very similar to the CX racing, it's definately not a "bolt-on" kit, it mounted to my intakes fine with the couplers but underneath I had to hack up two pipes and get an extra coupler to have it all fit right and I pretty much mounted like the...
easiest route, send both your harnesses to dr. tweak! :P I'm an electrician and I personally wouldn't have the patience for this even with two schematic diagrams and a lot of time on my hands. Plus I have zero experience in this aspect. As for the rest I'd say make sure you got through the list...
nice car, with a respray it probably wouldn't even be noticeable at all. Does that flex seal harden up like fibre glass? I've fixed a front bumper on a car like that before with fibre glass when I worked in an autobody shop as a teenager.
got my injectors changed over to 440's, tomorrow is boost controller then going to see where I'm at wit fuelcut and throw in my blitz access ecu and throw some pictures up of the complete project. although I've been thinking about ordering a new downpipe for the stock twins I found on ebay and...
ball-bearing turbos definately have the longevity factor compared to other turbos. I have rebuilds for my c12a's myself but I figured by the time I blow them I will be looking to upgrade.
old turbo's don't always rebuild well and it depends who did them how well the quality of it was done. but 16,000 miles is alot better then my buddy who made less then 1000km before his 57-1 failed.
well I got around to installing my 2jz 440cc injectors but I'm worried their n/a;s
the 370cc I pulled out are yellow and have two small holes for jets and two big holes
the 440cc I'm planning to install are green and only have two small holes.
To me they should be the same if their for a...
mmmm it should drop right in but your wiring harness probably isn't going to completely match up you might have to cut a plug or two from the old one to get it to all work. also I know the motor mounts are different but I think because it's the same engine it doesn't matter just the newer ones...
oooh I'm sorry I had mistaken you for this guy: http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?172952-1JZ-Swap-into-a-1987.......Mitsubishi-Starion&highlight=mitsubishi+starion
I think it's awesome to see lots of these cars with jz's in 'em. Can't wait to see this done though looks like it...
gt35r is a fair price, comes in kits and is fast spool plus makes a good amount of hp, I seen one locally where I'm from. but I hear a 6262 with a QSV is ludicris.
plans for suspension? motor swap was a good start, 2jz will take a lot more abuse at the track. 7m's aren't bad rebuilt but it's nice to have a motor you can redline a lot safer and longer.
