Anyone have any ideas on why my clutch pedal would engage near the floor like a dead master but pop up (hard) after raising my foot up?
It stays near the floor for a 1/2 second or so and then comes up and hits the bottom of my foot with a fair amount of force.
I haven't had a chance to look at...
Agreed. The 'green plug' is attached to the end of the 'upper' cable. Toyota part 83710-14731. You can get it from DM, an online dealer, or your local dealer.
So a few days ended up meaning several weeks.
Since I don't like to leave threads open with no resolution...
There's really only 4 parts to check. The gear on the trans, the short cable, the long cable, and the speedometer itself.
Mine ended up being the upper cable so my $100 is on its way...
Agreed. Mine's been at 0 for 3 weeks now and it didn't change anything other than not seeing gas mileage on my super computer. Hopefully I'll actually have time to take things apart this weekend and find out what part snapped.
The DM downpipe by itself won't make anything louder. Not having anything after the downpipe is what's making the OP's loud.
I've had a DM downpipe on mine for a couple years now. When I first got it I had no cat and stock cat back with rust holes. It didn't change the sound before/after...
Exactly as stated. I swapped the cable about 2 years ago or so. Upper and lower from DM. R154, turbo cluster, 231k.
I was driving at ~40 or so and looked down again and it said 0. I got under the car last night and externally everything looks fine but I don't have time to pull it apart for...
Made the top 50 in less than 2 weeks. And that was with it turned off for a couple days there.
We only show 11 active CPUs in the last 10 days. Although I think the work units are a bit bigger than they used to be. I've only got 22 and all the others close to me have between 1 and 3 hundred.
Anything to make you laugh. ;)
Seriously though I had one that I replaced on the passenger side a couple years ago from DM (not knocking DM and I still shop with them) and they were rusty all over within a couple months.
Yes I know I need to pull the knuckles and R&R them. It's a project for...
Mine came painted gray and the bolts were all good hardware.
I've had a few domestic friends over the years and Moog seems to be the top of the line for aftermarket. Most of their Toyota stuff is actually made in Japan too. Didn't realize till I just looked something up but their HQ is...
Anyone still folding? I started again a couple days ago on the new 3570k. Runs fairly well and the temps for all 4 cores are staying around 48-50C.
I went from being over 200 on our list to currently 143 (and climbing fast as it's just sitting there running WUs).
Wish I had a GPU to run on...
No. I use the TRD knob from my 95 Celica (FWD) 'quick shift' kit. The knobs interchanged between my 85 Celica, 95 Celica (with/without the TRD kit), and now the Supra.
So unless they changed it for Scions or after 2000...
+1 and +1
While you have the valve springs out doing the stem seals I'd go ahead and replace them with Comp Cams 975-12.
Also wouldn't hurt to do the timing belt/tensioner if it hasn't been done in a while. And the DM exhaust stud upgrade kit if your exhaust studs are anywhere near iffy...
I bought both sections from Driftmotion for under $110. http://store.driftmotion.com/static/i-spedometercablemk3supra.php
Most people replace them because they squeak. Mine sounded like the right front wheel bearing any time it got below 50 outside.
Mine definitely has a growl at idle. And I was mistaken. I guess I was thinking of all the MKIV 4" exhausts. ETS and BIC make 3.5" which is still plenty big for moar power.
LOL. It was at last years Titan Dyno Day/Open House and it was actually the one that was on their wall as a display. 7M + DP w/open elbow + no cat + NUR Spec = :biggrinki
I was looking for an HKS LET-T16 (the 3" one that looks like stock) and was at the open house. Decided to ask about a...
I've been thinking about ordering the Fumoto myself. Do we use the F-104?
And I just use the Toyota drain gaskets although I thought they were green. I order 3 or 4 every time I order a part from the dealer.
