    1jz done again !

Congrats, what RPM are you getting full boost by?

    max boost on 1jz

They wont run long over 16 psi according to a turbo rebuilder. In addition to the ceramic blades, the thrust bearing is to small for high boost and is prone to failure.

The opposite - Turbo to NA

Put a SP88 on it. Won't spool until redline and you now have an NA around town :yelrotflm Seriously, get a civic or nissan for a daily driver if you are looking for fuel economy.

    7M or 1Jz

You should really do a search on this because it has already been covered numerous times and you won't ever get an agreed upon consensus.

    JE vs stock pistons

Yeah, the 87 to 92 stangs came with forged. These weren't a true forged piston like a JE though were they? I thought they were kind of a hybrid. Not sure, I was always a SB Chevy guy and wouldn't drive a Ford back in the 80's. Don't get me wrong, I am going with forged on my rebuild, unless...

    JE vs stock pistons

To say that automakers don't use forged to keep cost down is not accurate. What about the LS7 motor? The LS7 is probably one of the best engineered motors off all time. It comes with cast pistons. I don't think the additional cost of forged pistons had any thing to do with the design...

    JE vs stock pistons

If you are going to be under 400 hp, stay with the stock pistons. A forged piston will not last as long as a stock piston...period. You will never get 150K-200k miles on a set of forged slugs. That is why auto makers don't put forged pistons in factory vehicles. Not to mention, it will sound...

    1.5 JZ Stock Twins Question

So are you Airforce or Army? Why have you not become a member of SOCOM i.e SF or PJ..instead of supporting them? Maybe I overreacted and I accept your apology. I think there was one in there :) Are you on jump status or HALO qualified? Yeah, military pay is bad...but I do miss the people...

    Converting to FFIM

I believe I read a post where someone saw around 30hp difference but the biggest gain was throttle response.

    1.5 JZ Stock Twins Question

Listen "drunk medic", I am not here to be insulted by you. Why is it that people must insult others who ask a question? However, I will answer your insults. No, I am not too cheap to upgrade the turbos. Not that it matters, but to prove a point, I have a Greddy T67 kit for the 7M that...

Soarer Clip for Supra Install Question

Other than the needing a bellhousing for the R154, intercooler, and motor mounts, is everything else the same for the swap? This is not counting the 2J parts that are needed for the install. I just want to know if the wiring harness, hydro fan, igniter, ECU, etc from a Soarer clip will work on...

    1.5 JZ Stock Twins Question

Would 400 hp be attainable on a 1.5 JZ with stock twins with upgraded intercooler, y-pipe, and DP? This would be running within the CT12a safe daily driver limits, not a one time dyno pull at 17-18 psi.

    Microtech LT12 in 1JZ?

Maeso and his friend are running Microtech on the 7M and on the 1J. To the best of my knowledge that 1J has the fastest 1/4 timeslip.

    OEM HG Question

I would say it is that simple if you are staying OEM. I am from a background of V8 high compression powered cars and no one ran MHG's even the low compression supercharged V8s. It is not uncommon for people to want the HG to be the weak link on a race setup. It is much cheaper to replace a...

    Fuel gauge stuck at full...

If the gauge is grounded out, it will show as full. It is either the gauge or the sending unit. Look on the bright side... based on your gauge readout, you are getting the best MPG than anyone here on the forums :D
