I tried a quick search on this, but wasn't sure of what terminology to use:
I'm wondering if anyone knows of any compatible fans from other Toyota/Lexus models, that could be used on the supra. My clutch is fine, but the blades themselves are kinda ratty. i just wanted to know if anyone had...
That is correct.
Its still plywood, but it's birch, and twice as thick. I moved the hinge from over to under, to raise it about a 1/2 inch as well. Wasn't sure how much room i'd need for the cap, amp, etc.
Yes, I did get these injectors. They are installed in my head(and have been for like 6 months).
Hopefully, I will get the chance to start the engine before Christmas. My supplier was Ebay.
Attempting to buy these from a few overseas distributors was completely fruitless; they would advertise...
Agreed.
IC won't do much for you at these low boost levels, all your power is coming from the upgraded CT, and the dp.
We are assuming you have the dp hooked to a freeflow exhaust as well.
Your power limiter in this case will be fuel cut and injector size.
Today, I added a lower O2 sensor bung to the dp. I learned too late, that the wideband sensor needs to be about 2ft. from the turbo, if I want it to survive.
Also, I heat-wrapped the exhaust just prior to the cat, to insure a longer life for the speedo cable as well. And lastly, I finished...
Um, yes and no.
You DO have the correct harness for your motor...IF your car is righthand drive.
Cars in Japan are all RHD, and thus, the harness is about 20" shorter, since it doesn't have to cross over to the right side of the car.
That guy screwed you, and he knew it.
I used a late model Camry resevoir, and placed it directly behind the passenger headlight.
Just ordered DM-6/AFR gen 3 combo, released by PLX yesterday, as well as a second DM-6 along with the vac/boost sensor.
Just *slightly* more broke now...
Your plan seems sound for a solid engine, if it is in good condition to start with.
ps- Do not compare Supra's to Civics...you'll just make people here mad.
:)
Are you SURE you have the right harness?
Also, the motor wouldn't blow it's head gasket in one day, because you torqued to factory spec. You may very well have a bad head surface to begin with.
Show us some pics of what harness you're dealing with. Also- What Marietta do you live in- Marietta...
What he said. Way nicer with the black plugs.
I currently have the IS300 mod, but would be very interested in switching to this simply for the aesthetics, as well as the fact that the coils actually fit snug on your mod.
I will be staying tuned into this thread, to see what you guys come up...
Did a few things today.
After raking the yard, and replacing the fuel lines in my leaf blower, I pulled the car out of the garage, to finish the sound proofing.
After removing the oem panels:
After installing the GTmat:
This stuff is designed with a sandwich of aluminum heat...
Got the driver's side floor finished with some new deadener mat, and I'll finish the passenger side tomorrow.
Also going to undercoat the car while it's out of the garage. Today I just ordered a few small electrical parts, and tied a couple of grounds together.
Amplifier and fuel pump...
I bought Wiseco's, but I really can't say if they're good or bad, as I've never started the engine.
I CAN say that they haven't rattled ONE BIT so far... lol.
That broken wire is why.
The switch will be just a white plastic plunger, and the wire connects to the bottom.
And i can pretty much gaurantee you that if you pull that black(green i guess)wire over to the ebrake handle, it will touch the switch.
It cant be any farther away than that, right? Lol.
