    Type of Vented Gas Cap

I drilled mine because there were no vented caps available at pep boys, I don't understand how the cap would be "BS" you cant even see the hole, looks like stock but the seal under the plastic cover has a hole in it to let air in or out. not to mention being behind the gas door.

could buy just a manifold for $550+, but if your like me and don't need something that high quality or Blingy, i guess well have to wait for the adapters.

Has anyone heard of an "X-brace" for the mk3?

I think the mention of the convertable mustangs and camaros, have the bracing under neath tied into extra bracing around the door area. so instead of the car bending down in the middle (or up) with the axis being in the middle of the door sill, the "U" shaped bracing around the door frame keeps...

    Type of Vented Gas Cap

if you look inside the cap you can see a rubber diaphragm on the inside of the threaded area, if you poke a hole in that it will become a vented cap. That diaphragm is what seals the threaded part to the part that ratchets. So if you poke a hole in it and put the threaded area to your mouth...

how much oil do you lose?

ive herd something about new diesels recycling oil engine oil into fuel, you add oil for 10,000 miles and then change the filter every 5 and on 10K change the oil too. Just what i herd, could be totally false.

Who here makes solid motor mounts?

it would change the bolt patern on the mount wouldnt it? it would be like milling the surface of the intake ports on a cylinder head for a V8, the ports would be lower and moved further apart. maybe the amount needed to lower the motor is not enough to effect it that much?

Turbo vs N/A Cams Dyno Compare

The drastic change isnt the 10 horsepower and neither is the dispute. The drastic change and dispute, is witch cam is better. And its actually 26 more horsepower with the turbo cams and the same mods. N/A cams drop off torque at 3000rpm where as the turbo cams make equal to more torque from...

Who here makes solid motor mounts?

welding stock mounts is real easy but it wont make them 1/2 inch shorter. Problem with making them 1/2 inch shorter is it will change the alignment of the bolts. it would most likely require mockup to insure accuracy, either that or very accurate math. Edit: pics of my stockers welded.

Has anyone heard of an "X-brace" for the mk3?

and for targa issues just get a targa brace that bolts into targa location, they can be fabbed up easily and cheaply depending on design and material. A steel X targa brace i couldnt see materials costing more then 20-30 dollars, then you just need someone who knows how to measure and weld.

Diesel Engines and Compression in relation to a Petrol Engine (say.. 7MGTE)

From what i herd the new diesels from the factory emit cleaner air then they consume from all the filtering of the fuel. Disclaimer: just passing what i herd, i claim no truth nor responsibility for this claim.
