I understand for optimum flow and performance the ports should be smooth and concave as you have said. BUT, this adapter isn't exactly something designed for optimum performance and flow. its sole purpose is to convert to FFIM cost effectively. Im not saying it couldnt be smooth and designed for...
Still don't see how it would be 14 grand. The angles would be consistent from piece to piece a 7M is a 7m and doesn't need differing amounts of clearances from one to the next unless its owners preference.
Its a thick flange with holes, only angles to figure out is the ports from the 7m lower...
I dont believe there was a group buy because there was never a product made, someone had one made but never installed because motor was still otu of vehicle and seems progress has stopped.
Though i am pretty interested in this whole thing, just waiting for someone to do it. i would but i don't...
Though the venom injectors are stock ones resized, this is identical to the aeromotive unit (as far as its known thus far).
Im sure Aeromotive doesn't actually make there own parts from scratch, XS POWER prolly just bypassed the middleman (Aeromotive) by buying them directly from the supplier...
should be able to defiantly do it on 450whp with stickey enough tires. one tenth on your 60' is 2 in the ET. take the usual 1.9-1.8 to a 1.6-1.5 and you got yourself a half second.
its most important that the car work, the suspension and tires need to work with the car to be able to launch...
I love it, but i really want to go mega squirt 'N spark bad.
The air fuel ratio tracking on the GEN 2 is pretty nice too, tunes itself when hooked up. i just gota hook it up lol
I personally would not use the venom module, it cant be doing anything good enough to spend time working on it.
If you get the maft Gen2, witch i have, is a very nice tuning device that allows a few different MAF sensors to be used. also tunable with 3 different load maps and 14 different RPM...
v8's are over rated, high fuel consumption, one set power level, starting to sound worse and worse.
Keep the supra and base your power level on injector and turbo size rather then rebuilding every time you feel you need another 50 horsepower.
Turbo V8 is too much money anyway.
Sorry for the long post, but you seem to be a little confused on the whole process. so its all here.
Actually turbo slows down a good amount on a manual car. if your at WOT (wide open throttle) and let off in a manual car the turbo will be back to just about idle speed within a couple of...
Eh the ecotech is unimpressive, its rated at something like 205 horsepower. Didnt the turbo MR2's from the early 90's make that much? hell the stock celica gts/elise 1.8 made 180-90hp all motor as said before lol
Ariel atoms use Honda motors because there cheap and perform. There more of a kit car so you could probably have one made to use anything, but default they use whats available and performs.
No opinions here, just answers to multple questions
TagraMK3Turbo: Increasing the boost wouldn't account for the extra fuel because of the air flow sensor, same reason why switching to a bigger AFM housing raises fuel cut because approx 25% per metered "unit" more air is entering the engine...
your asking about things other then lex afm and 550cc's.
Running the lexus afm and 550's will net a negligible increase in power, force the TCCS to pull fuel to help with the rich condition and fool the computer by showing less airflow in turn raising fuel cut.
No other mods are necessary...
