Tom: Think of the 7M as a system
If anything is not right it will throw EVERYTHING out! :(
You really need to correct any and all boost leaks as with MAF it has a big impact on how it runs.
Stock Koni's range of valving suits stock to + 10% increase in rate so should be fine with most of the aftermarket springs.
Once you go past this it's time to start playing inside the shocks.
They set my new shocks up so 0 on the clicker is just about perfect for my springs and 1/4 turn is...
Maybe the cold start switch and injector.
ticking as discussed already
Hissing exhaust leak
If it has a boost leak it'll run like a sack and be inconsistant
Koni's are easily rebuildable so a change in Oil weight is simple if you need them stiffer, once you run out of the range of heavier weight Oil that will work then you can have them revalved and start again!
I had a custom set built to my specs and LOVE them as they match my spring rate perfectly!
Tom: I usually go out the Hume then across to Bright and over Mt Hotham and back in through Gippsland to break a new motor in!
Can't get over Hotham this time of year without chains!
