The block needs to be bored to the NON COATED size as well :)
(the coatings aren't uniform enough to get a consistant sizing)
My JE's were a perfect set with no variation is size of all 6 so must have come off the same machine same day same operator same cutter.
Take the block to your machine shop and have them flex hone it, it shouldn't cost too much as there's no setup involved (be much less than buying the hone that you'll never use again)

Clevites aren't actually Clevites for the 7M these days but reboxed NDC's unless you can find some very old stock.
Might find em cheaper in NDC boxes.
Yes this is a very important step in a 7M as the Cast Iron used is very hard and even if the original marks are visable the bores will be glazed, a quick rub with a Toilet Brush Hon (flex hone) will do the trick.
