The earlier cars are lighter because they don't have a lot of little things like ABS, extra bracing, and as much insulation.
Oh, and the issue with the taillights is easy to fix, see my sig (no they aren't JDM, and no they aren't tinted or painted)

Our stock cams aren't very agressive either, at least from the standpoint of some of the cams I've seen from a SBC.

first has the gear advantage, second doesn't load the engine enough, and third loads the engine harder, building boost and having more fun...
LCD's have their downfalls...
If you can't run at the native rez, it looks like ass. This is especially important in gaming.
Keep in mind I run an LCD now, and I'll admit it is FAR easier to read and doesn't have the same issues with eye strain...

It's pretty cheap to buy all the parts brand new from toyota, and follow the TSRM to the letter when assembling it.
