I can guarantee that most / all of the fabricators here don't use blueprints, they build a jig and use that. Your best bet is to find someone with a spare stock elbow and work from those dimensions.

Bomex is hard to get these days - they dropped the quality level bigtime, and company support is nonexistant, so most companies have dropped their goods. Your best bet is likely to haunt ebay for an older set.

I don't think I agree with that, Lanky. I think the biggest 'problem' group at SF is the F&F trolls who want a MkIV but can't afford one, so they haunt the off topic section. We're not going to appeal to that group no matter what we do, as we cater to the Mk3 crowd, which isn't a *real*...

Then you would have a car that is only ugly on the interior. The exterior on the PT is nice enough, the engine / drivetrain is excellent... two out of three isn't bad. :D I still wouldn't buy one, personally, but I know several people who would.

Ok, first up, they ARE fugly. That aside, they are a TOUGH little car. One of the fellows here picked one up as his daily driver - now it's almost as fast as his drag car, and all he did was BPU + a big turbo. He switches to slicks at the track, and IIRC his times are sub 12 seconds now...

I've heard of Ross pistons doing this. And I've heard of loose valve clearances causing rattle, but not tight clearances. Sorry, my knowledge of the correct clearances for the JZ series heads is sorely lacking. ;) Perhaps if you post in the JZ tech section for that?
