Milky oil residue on your oil cap is a big sign, good chance it's blown. Get a block test and you should know for sure.

Got my bolts back out today. Pretty easy - pulled off the mudflap, then bent my magnetic retriever around the corner to snatch them back from the throes of obscurity. There were some NASTY big spiders living in there. What the hell do they think they can eat, hiding inside my body panels?

I seriously suggest you check all the rivets. This is pretty easy to do, just lay the gasket down on the block and check if any of the rivets are holding the gasket up. My HKS gasket needed a rivet drilled out as well.

When I blew one up, it made ugly noises, but ran fine, for quite a while - nearly a year. Then it started binding while I was driving, that was ugly. The other symptom was how far I could rock the car back and forth when parked on a flat surface with the engine in gear and the E-brake off...

Apexi's AVC-R will give you all you want. IIRC, you can set a different boost for each gear, if you really wanted to.

Ok, now I am stinking tired. The car is close to running, but not quite. I still have to: - mount the radiator - mount and connect the fans - run the rad hoses - connect the heater hoses to the block - connect the speedo cable to the tranny - fix the clutch slave - pull the wiring...

Engine is in the car! Still have to hook up a bunch of wiring, fill the tranny & engine with fluids, and then she's good to go. I'll post some more pics of the engine going in later tonight - as long as I can still type by then, of course! ;)

Obviously, it's been a while since I took the baby apart. There is a groud wire the runs alongside the big starter lead, however, it doesn't appear to be long enough to reach the starter. Anyone know where this is supposed to be bolted to? Thanks in advance!
