Likely this is just a worn lock cylinder. Does it work ok in the passenger side? If so, it's the lock. If no, it's the key.

EGR isn't really neccesary, it's only used at cruise... unless you have to pass smog inspections where you live, anyhow.

Why not just make your own? I have the dimensions posted up in the FAQ section, just about any machine shop can knock these off in a few minutes...

Change your thermostat. Milky oil only happens in very bad cases of BHG - the oil passages on the head gasket are much further away from the cylinders than the water jackets.

It's been done, although rarely. If you are going to fully balance it, might as well do this as well. While you are at it, think about adding a crank scraper as well...

Agreed. Mine has been down every now and again, but letting me down on the road? Happened ONCE, and realistically, I ignored the signs ahead of time.

As for the speedo, that likely means the speedo cable is disconnected somewhere - either behind the dash, at the tranny, or at the halfway point where the two parts connect.

Actually, I don't really know that much about it. The rev limit was dropped with the heavier crank, but the reason behind it really is a guess on our part - more rotational mass means it't tougher to spin up and down in speed. It should be several extra pounds, as the 7M has 2 extra...

A bunch of folks here swear by the permetex brake quiet spray treatment. Just spray your head gasket before putting it onto an unprepped block and pray. :)
