If a temp ground soves it, you can just leave the temp wire hooked up. It certainly sounds like you have a battery / power delivery problem as well, and I'd make sure you have a few good solid grounds connected to the block, head, and intake manifold.

Duane still makes the hoods, they are awesome quality, they can be drilled to fit squirters or not, and they use the stock latching mechanisim. Oh, and they are an exact copy of the stock hood shape - at least on the top, I don't recall offhand whether the underside frame is exactly the same or...

Did you try wiring a temp ground to the ECU direct?

#11 means no ground to ECU. Check that your ground wires on the back underside of the intake runners are hooked up to the intake manifold. Try running a temp ground to the ECU as well.
