    Easy Oil Pan removal?

I'm willing to be converted. Next time I'll give this a try. Of course, I'm hoping that I won't have to deal with oil leaks for many moons now. :)

    another phys question...

Exactly. Consider that the cop, standing by the side of the road, is still speeding along as the earth rotates on it's axis, plus orbits the sun, the entire solar system is rotating around the galactic core, and the entire universe is expanding outwards at an incredibly fast rate.

Where does this ground wire go?

Hmm... looks like yours is mounted somewhere to the block as well. I'm talking about the one you can see between the VSV and the manifold brace on the left of that picture.

Where does this ground wire go?

I've got the same issue with zero flexibility. It was a serious PITA to get this to bolt to the manifold, it was bent all wrong for it. I figured that was just the way it had been hanging there since I pulled the engine, but perhaps not??? I don't think it would reach all the way to the...

    Easy Oil Pan removal?

Agreed. There is no easy way to take the oilpan off. Gasket maker is the preferred method of sealing the oilpan, the available cork gaskets usually leak.

    GrimJack's rebuild

Thanks guys! spipedong, no worries, I got the info from Adjuster, and we now have a very nice thread about it in the FAQ. You could likely post your text in the same thread! turbo4toy, no 1JZ swaps for me - you're right, if my garage looked like this for more than 3 months out of the...

where to find recaro bulk material?

Normally I could help here... my mother has an account at the fabric wholesaler here. I have gotten just about anything from them - from silk to upholstrey to leather to drapery fabric... they even carry that thick quilted stuff they line elevators with when people are moving. Unfortunately...

    Bhg???

Compression test will not tell you for sure. It will tell you that there is something wrong, but not where it is... Leakdown test and / or block test will tell you what it wrong and where the problem is. Are you doing the compression test yourself, or getting a shop to do it? If it's a...

    GrimJack's rebuild

No chance of that, I already filled it with oil, and not only was I careful, I also used a funnel for the first time in over 10 years. :D The engine is very clean, however, you can still find grime under the hood ... I think the pictures make it look better than it really is. Then again...
