PS: The 3000 pipe is the part that runs from the throttle body on the driver's side over the valve covers and then bends 45 degrees and heads for the hole in the fenderwall on it's way to the intercooler.
I *think* he's talking about the signal line for the bypass valve... would help a fair bit if the hose he's referring to was highlighted or circled or something, as there are a fair number of hoses in the photo.
If you are talking about the small signal line that goes from the BPV to a hardline...
They won't fit the earlier subframe. Luckily, those are easier to deal with anyhow - just take a set of broken square mounts and weld a strip of steel to both sides.
I don't know... do you have the mounts / engine that came out of that car? If so, are they round or square?
You are correct in that the 89 model came with either one or the other. Most of the ones I have seen were round, but that's by no means a guarantee...
I've used the dielectric grease upon occasion, and contact cleaner + gun oil as well, but what methods have you used to keep your electrical contacts in your engine plugs working well?
I've recently started to have occasional problems starting the Supra, in every instance popping the hood and...
Umm... they are exceptionally easy to make. They are just a short length of barrel stock, cut to the right length, and then drill a hole down the center. The hardest part was finding some high grade bolts, and even that was pretty easy.
I have the dimensions published in the reference...
I'd love to meet up and caravan. Anyone with a phone, fire me the number & I'll trade you for my number, that way we can call when we are close.
Bring your FRS 2ways, too. :)
No. FC has nothing to do with how rich / lean your engine is actually running, it's all about how lean your ECU *thinks* you are going to run based on what air is going into it.
FC is based off several factors. The primary one is the frequency returned by the AFM, telling the ECU how fast the air is moving in the intake tract, but there are several other inputs that affect the exact point as well.
JJ might know more on this, to date nobody who knows all the inputs has...
I made my own, but those look like they are cut to the same dimensions. I love them, more vibration makes you more in touch with the car. Makes it feel more like a sports car instead of a touring vehicle.
You should be able to make them for a fair bit less, but if you don't want to bother and...
I'm afraid I'll have to disagree. While we might enjoy watching it, we need to restrict our bandwidth to Supra related vids.
Still, you could post it on youtube or streetfire, something like that, and then link to it here.
Maybe - depends on why it refuses to park. If the windings inside are shorted, then it doesn't matter how much you clean it, you're hooped. In theory, this is what the resistance check in the TSRM is supposed to detect. They are actually DAMN pricey little units.
PS: This is a fantastic example of how to get your questions answered. Clear, concise title, high resolution photo in focus of the subject, no begging or whining... I like it. Doward, you're welcome to stick around as long as you like. :D
While ND is technically correct in that this has been...
Yellow is mostly correct. I've seen many cases of this plug becoming brittle over the years and failing, blowing all the coolant out onto the exhaust manifold, which creates a huge steam show, then the engine overheats and the head warps, causing a BHG in the process.
SO... considering that...
