    CajunKenny's Build Thread

Here's a date written on the tranny. It says 12/21. I wish there was a year written on it too. Here's the empty engine bay.

You so silly.... Maybe I should name the car 'Black Pearl'! :biglaugh: Thanks for the compliments! Yeah, the IC pipe thing was definitely worth a chuckle. And if that's the biggest mistake I make with the car, I'll be pretty happy! The ShineAutoProject lips are very nice. Also...

    So many choices

^Looks like a three hole Bomex Lip to me. I personally will be running the ShineAutoProject TypeII Lip here pretty soon. I like it the best because it's not "Goddy" looking. It's low...clean...and gives you a not stock look; but, a stock feel. Perfect in my opinion.

She's out! The removal was just about flawless. No real problems to speak of. Just as I got the engine up off the mounts and free hanging, a friend showed up to help with the final pull. It was perfect timing! I'll post more pics in a couple of days; but, here's what I've got so far...

Ok. I was able to get about an hour in tonight. The harness is completely free and all peripherals disconnected. Motor mounts loosened and all underbracing gone. The tranny is currently supported by a 2x4 and the only thing left to do before the engine is out is remove the shifter. So, my...

    E36 M3 pulled from 40 - 140kph

The FCD allows you to run more boost than the stock fuel system can handle. Fuel cut is your friend. So far, it has saved your engine. Even an MHG with ARP's will not withstand detonation. The MHG and ARP's are only part of what you need to safely run more boost. The stock fuel system...

    damn valve cover gaskets

Try using a 'Mild' form of Loctite (or similar) on the threads of the Valve Cover Screws. ...or bolts if you've upgraded them like most of us have. ;)

    broken down supra

I'm the same way. I met a really cool guy in the parking lot of Autozone. I drove by and he had the hood of his MK3 up. I turned around and introduced myself and told him that I also own an MK3. His car would crank; but, not start. He obviously drove it there. I had him crank on it and I...

Are you running the stock headgasket? What is this FCD talk?!?!?! :3d_frown:

2jz NO! NO! They'v gone bad

I was riding shotgun with a friend in his "fairly" built DSM when this stock Evo wanted to run. I was sure my buddy's car could hang if not walk that evo; but, my buddy took off from a 10 roll in second instead of first. It was a terrible loss. :3d_frown: That's what looks like happened here.

    Supra Starting Problem Please Help

It sounds like your CPS wires. Go pop the hood and wiggle them around a bit. I wouldn't be surprised if it'll start right up. If that works, put me on your Christmas list and go poke your "mechanic" in the eye and then cut a hole in the bottom of his garbage can when he's not looking.

Sounds great Fred! I'm sure the tranny rebuild will take me a bit of time so don't worry if you're not able to ship it on Monday. Just whenever you can... I'm really considering sending off one of my spare heads for a port and polish job too. That'll really compliment the manifold you're...

    CajunKenny's Build Thread

Here's what I was able to do this weekend. I had to work this last Saturday which REALLY way-laid my progress. As of now, all that needs to be done is wire harness management and then she's out. Here's a pic of the drive line (black one) that will likely not be going back in because the...

    help

^Agreed... Does your ISC make the clicking sounds when you turn the car off? Have you messed with your TPS at all or is it in the factory position? It may need to be adjusted.
