    Fucking Con Artists

LOL - the perfect answer to that is: "You're deaf! That's AWESOME - so am I! I sign, of course, so when we get together we'll be able to talk without any problems."

!!F**K!! > block threads are no good/any suggestions?

This happened to my 22-RE in my 82 Celica. I had the block drilled and tapped for a bigger bolt. It was a tight fit through the block, but it worked for another 500k km.

Lets see here... I've used a composite gasket with no prep, just cleaning. 85 foot pounds of torque. Lasted until I turned the boost up to 20psi on a stock CT. Then I shattered a couple pistons and blew out the headgasket. I've put in a used HKS gasket, with all the coatings pulled off...

Ever hear of a CPS skipping several teeth?

Odd thing happened to me today, I was driving along normally, in traffic in the city, so just cruising, and the engine dies. I try to restart it, and it doesn't want to fire - the engine feels like the timing is way off. So, I push it across the street and around a corner. Quite the workout...

Anyway to check motor internals aside from teardown while engines out?

There's also a little camera beastie that goes through the spark plug holes to let you inspect the inside of the cylinder... but again, it doesn't check the bits that Doward listed.

    Cup Holder

I have the cup holders. But the shotgun passenger holds my drink, especially when she's cute.

Should have been multiple selection, too, many of us have done it several different ways.

Free play on the crank pulley?

Doesn't work. Well, not for long, anyway. Don't ask how I know.

The upgrade order is definitely: - maintenance - head gasket - intake & exhaust - intercooler & hardpipes - fuel & tuning - turbo

Engine Dies As Soon As Boost Is +

I'll add a bit to this. If someone reports a post, the moderation team gets notified, but the reaction isn't instant, unless you get lucky and the mod for that area happens to be online and paying attention at the time. It could actually take a couple days - I know this sounds like total...

    Mystery Oil Leak

Front and rear main seals, valve cover seals, cam seals, oil pump driveshaft seals, dipstick tube seal, and block to timing cover seal. Oh, and lots of the old oil cooler hoses tend to leak, and while you are at it, you might as well change the CPS O ring as well.

    Scary lesson to learn

My tire shop advises everyone to check their own lugnuts after anyone touches them. :)

New turbo is finally here... (pics)

And she runs! :) Had a few issues after firing it up, which are hopefully all worked out now. Big thanks to Duane for coming over to help for several hours and get all oiled up. The missus should like that when he gets home! And to his bro Darryl, without whom Duane would be cruising in...

Just saw 28 weeks later, my thoughts.

Saw it, and I wasn't impressed. The first one was filmed on a $5000 pound budget... and they did a better job with the camera. Too much shaky cam work in the new one. And a few extra plot holes... like the fact that the kid has infected blood and brains spattered all over his shirt for half...
