    Who is in this MK3?

He isn't. I don't think Tony is on the internet at all.

Ever hear of a CPS skipping several teeth?

Pulled it out today, half in the rain, half in the sun. The pin is fine, so is the reluctor fit. Next step is to pull the valve cover and see if the end of the cam is ok, I guess.

    Stupid CPS question

    Yes, it should be flush.

Is this a Supra or a Celica? The Supra didn't come with the 22R engines...

June Mini on the Rock (VI)

The missus just reminded me that tomorrow is our anniversary dinner. So, I'll be there for sure! Just kidding, I'm out.

What kinda LSD and R154 oil do you use?

Get the redline from a local speed shop - I use a place called Mopac, but I don't think they exist in the USA. Talk to the local drag racing guys, they'll point you towards a shop that carries it. The Ford oil comes from... wait for it... Ford.

are the r154 > 7m block mounts necessary?

Well, Duane has been running the wrong one with only three bolts in it for years. That said, I wouldn't run without them in *my* car.

What kinda LSD and R154 oil do you use?

TRD diff is nice, but we've had quite a number of high power guys breaking them. They don't seem to last long after the numbers start to hit ~500 whp.

June Mini on the Rock (VI)

Weather still looks to suck. I'm having problems convincing myself to spend $150+ to come drive on the Island in the rain. :(

What kinda LSD and R154 oil do you use?

It didn't, at least not back when I bought it last, but I heard a rumor that Ford was adding it.

    Me vs Colbat SS

Oddly enough, I just had one of those try to race me last weekend. I was coming back from the mountain with my bike on the back. We were going up a hill and he annoyed me, so I pulled up next to him in second gear. He tried to take off, I stayed next to him and glared, then hammered it, let...

Exactly. Usually with a swivel, too, so that they can work in VERY cramped areas.

Ever hear of a CPS skipping several teeth?

Seemed fine when I took it out. I put it back in and it's driven 75 km since without problems. The gear on the CPS was fine. I didn't check the gear on the cam yet, but I'll be surprised if it's mangled. I'm going to pull it again and check the pin just because.

why a free car fax could be your worst nightmare

Every member here should have a hidden fuel pump switch somewhere on their car. And every member here should flick it off when they park it. Admittedly, the thieves with tow trucks will still get your car, but you've cut out 95% of the problem right there. Just don't put it somewhere obvious...

"A smart man learns from his mistakes." "A wise man learns from someone else's mistakes." I'm with you, folks. Building cars isn't rocket science, but it's still not something you should jump into without some help.

!!F**K!! > block threads are no good/any suggestions?

I put 1,600,000 km on my '82 Celica. In that time I had to replace the bottom end once and rebuild the head twice. I think the engineers that designed that car started Lexus. It would likely still be running strong now, but I got in a argument with a full grown bull moose on a highway at...

    Turbo removal

Gear wrenches cut your Turbo removal time to about 25%. The bolts on the oil return line are just a matter of greasing up your arms, sliding them down past the turbo, and getting exactly the right length of extensions combo'd up.
