did you adjust the tps properly? your prolly gonna have to do it properly now to set it right. also i think with those mods the ecu maybe a bit overwhelmed im not sure how well that ecu would handle the set up you have now. do you have smoke out the exhaust? how rich is it running at idle...
i had the same problem with a h22a civic i built and it was just a broken map sensor. it ran ultra rich. like 80 miles to a tank of gas rich. and it didnt like revin up much. maybe a tps adjustment might be needed. i just swapped my 1jz in and it idles kinda rough and cuts out around 3.5k...
actually i came across it pretty easily. I asked boomslang if they had an extrention for the ecu and they asked to see pics of the ecu. So i sent them pics of it and they told me it was the same as a obd1 nsx ecu. so i ordered an 18in extention and yep it works!
woot! thanks man. well there you have it. an easy, cost effective way. other than getting a pin kit and an a$$ load of wire and doing it yourself. Just remember you need about 16-18 inches extention. also remember that you need to extend your hydro fan ecu. thats easy though, there are 10...
i got a pic of it, but i gotta finish cleaning it up. ie: slide the boot down to the hole in the firewall, finish with wire loom. Just touch up stuff. I will tell you it is sort of a pain to make the connections on the cabin side of the firewall with the dash in the way since the harness...
I wanted to post something i found during my swap that helps those doing a 1jzgte swap. I tried searching around to see if someone had posted it but the search engine in here wouldnt let me. So i dont know if someone has posted it already but here it goes
The honda/acura NSX has the same...
well at some point when grounding my negative terminal i decided that grounding that wire was would be cool since its big and shiny. anyways i have power to the inside now, but it isnt much. my fluke meter says it has 10.2v, but i stuck the trickle charger on it anyways. Hopefully that should...
were the two black wires black with yellow stripe and black with orange/red stripe? i spliced those into the ea2 connector. I do have these two white wires left from the a1 connector
can this be the culpret?
its gotta be something insanely easy and easily overlooked. Anyone got something that i havent checked? Anyone know if im right about the those two plugs?
ok im sure this something so simple. I did a 1jzgte swap and i dont have power inside the car. i checked my fusible link and all my fuses also resanded and adjusted grounds. Battery is at full charge (checked with fluke meter). i disabled my alarm. i made sure the 14gauge power wire is tight...
ah sweet. yeah i use the search button alot, but lots of the stuff is hit or miss. sometimes its just easier to ask and see if someone has it archived. i learned to download and save everything. so yeah thanks for the help. we will see if this thing kicks over now. Thanks everyone!
yeah our town has free cab rides paid by the city if your to tanked to drive. Its far cheaper for the city to pay a $15 cab ride then to hold you overnite. or charge you for dui or what not
looks like the top one is an auto and the bottom is a 5 speed. the top one has an auto tranny attached to it and the bottom has an option for a 5 speed ecu.
